1.JaVA_Platypus Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Seen in 1.5.something. AI wingman got one or two SA-9's for breakfast. :music_whistling: I did send him home and he landed happily and taxied to the ramp without a hitch. I was a bit afraid he would tumble and crash upon touching the runway. But none of that! Might be a bug, touchdown and taxi without wheels, might be just another example of the A10's awesomeness! Happy Flying! :pilotfly:
GurbY Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Seen the same in 2.0... Sounds like a bug, not a feature.
Aginor Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 The AI's flight model is simplified. Those simple models don't have many parameters modeled for ground behaviour. So missing wheels don't cause the behaviour we would expect. It is somewhere in the middle of a missing feature and a bug, I tend to call it a a bug. DCSW weapons cheat sheet speed cheat sheet

However, it looks exactly the same as my (player driven) hog after a non-fatal hit by a sam. So, not only AI is effected.
Aginor Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 That's right. But at least as a player you can feel the aircraft behaving differently. DCSW weapons cheat sheet speed cheat sheet
Yurgon Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Unless I'm mistaken, the behavior has been the same at least since 1.2, but I think it dates back even further than that.
Aginor Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 I think so, too. DCSW weapons cheat sheet speed cheat sheet
