grunf Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 I'm happy, I've made it in one piece, which can't be said for the plane. :D
Zeus67 Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Told you that landings are a bit tricky. Corrigan Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 I set it down on the main gear and left the nose high for aero braking, and even let go of the stick. She just held her attitude. I even went into external view, completely hands off. So well-behaved! Feels incredibly sharp in AA mode in the air, christ what a machine. grunf Posted December 25, 2015 Author Posted December 25, 2015 Nice aerobraking! The effectiveness of aerobraking was slightly diminished by the lack of sufficient wing surface, but it was successfully compensated with the use of tailbraking. :megalol:
Guest deeplodokus Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 did you just land visually or using ILS? page 58 of the manual refers to modes like NAV, APP, AA, AG, saying they're in the "armamaent control panel". but i can't find that panel or a knob with those modes (i can only find NAV but no APP, AA, AG). how do i get to APP landing mode or AA or AG? thanks

The armament panel is described there as well as the options. But FYI, the armament panel is that big panel with two rows to the left of the radar screen. Necroscope Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Nice aerobraking! This maneuver named as lithobraking. Всех убью, один останусь!
grunf Posted December 25, 2015 Author Posted December 25, 2015 did you just land visually or using ILS? Visualy, just a quick and dirty landing. The second one was much better. :D
Gladman Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Landed no problem on first attempt. A little hot I think. Tried it again and it was much better. Shallower approach. Very nice handling, I like it. Now if I can find the English cockpit button, it'll be perfect. :) i9 9900K @ 5.1Ghz - ASUS Maximus Hero XI - 32GB 4266 DDR4 RAM - ASUS RTX 2080Ti - 1 TB NVME - NZXT Kraken 62 Watercooling System - Thrustmaster Warthog Hotas (Virpil Base) - MFG Crosswind Pedals - Pimax 5K+ VFA-25 Fist Of The Fleet [sigpic]http://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic99190_2.gif[/sigpic] Virtual Carrier Strike Group 1 | Discord
Kenan Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 (edited) Where is the flaps lever in the cockpit (since the key bindings don't appear to work)? Zeus67 Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Where is the flaps lever in the cockpit (since the key bindings don't appeat to work)? The aircraft, being a delta wing, does not have flaps.
