will- Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Every time i use TWS mode on the F-15c the game instantly starts to lag. Have not tested in single player, only notice in Multiplayer. Intel i9-9900K 32GB DDR4, RTX 2080tiftw3, Windows 10, 1tb 970 M2, TM Warthog, 4k 144hz HDR g-sync.
104th_Maverick Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 We're aware of this and trying to narrow it down as it does not affect everyone. What are your pc specs please? will- Posted December 26, 2015 Author Posted December 26, 2015 (edited) updated sig, thanks. FYI, never noticed this issue before memory upgrade which i did a few weeks ago. Not sure if its related or not; but i have noticed this problem from previous patch. Not sure if it remains on Nevada 2.0 version. fitness88 Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 will- you certainly have enough power under the hood! What is your frames per minute count when this happens? I'm asking because it may be associated more with latency to your devices [mouse, j-stick etc.] rather than low frame rate.
104th_Maverick Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 You're not alone with this issue thats for sure. I have tried to reproduce it several times with no success. If you could get me a very short track of the problem in action on the latest 1.5 version on your rig I will submit that and see if it would help. will- Posted May 30, 2016 Author Posted May 30, 2016 1920x1080 This issue is still around for me. Intel i9-9900K 32GB DDR4, RTX 2080tiftw3, Windows 10, 1tb 970 M2, TM Warthog, 4k 144hz HDR g-sync.

I'm asking because it may be associated more with latency to your devices [mouse, j-stick etc.] rather than low frame rate. For me the issue starts after about a few kills, or time related. Also does not happen in SP only in multiplayer. The game becomes completely unplayable in TWS mode, after going STT the stuttering stops. The only thing i have done recently is move DCS from one SSD to another. So i haven't tried "repair" yet as when i did that, that option seemed to disappear... guess i could always go for a reinstall of the game. ShuRugal Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Based on your comment about it not happening until you installed new RAM, and getting worse with kills/time (IE: data accumulated) could this be a memory leak? I've never encountered a case where a memory leak existed for only some RAM chips, though...
winchesterdelta1 Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 It's no memory leak. It started only after a certain patch. And never went away. Go in close, and when you think you are too close, go in closer.
blkspade Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Yeah, this issue is a contributing factor to me rarely flying online lately. Somebody let me know when its fixed. http://104thphoenix.com/
ShuRugal Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 It's no memory leak. It started only after a certain patch. And never went away. That's a silly assertion to make. Memory leaks have been an off-and-on problem with the sim since World went live. Of course it started with a patch: bugs don't (or rather, almost never) introduce themselves into a stable system. Something has to be changed. The fact that it has not gone away with subsequent patches means that either the cause was not patched, or the cause was patched, and a different bug was introduced... Of course, it may still turn out not to be caused by a memory leak, but saying that it can't be a memory leak because it started with a patch is like saying that a loss of ignition in your car can't possibly be why it won't start, because you just put new coils in it...
Stuge Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 There is also a related low FPS issue, triggered by spawning several times in the same area. I feel this and the TWS bug are related because they both appeared out of the blue at roughly the same time. This respawn-related issue is more troublesome actually because it doesn't take time to accumulate, it appears usually immediately after a second respawn in a dogfight scenario, thus making F-15C BFM practice a painstaking affair, requiring mission reload after every fight. And yes it is F-15C exclusive. May also related to hosting since I always get this bug when hosting, but not necessarily when playing on other servers. Memory leak doesn't make sense in this case... at least not to a layman :) http://www.104thphoenix.com
will- Posted June 1, 2016 Author Posted June 1, 2016 - so far i've done a "soft uninstall"(just did ran uninstall.exe) of the open beta then reinstalled the open beta. - repair.exe found it way back so i ran that after installing modules. all config controller setting were still saved. so far no tws lag, will repost if issue comes back. tx Intel i9-9900K 32GB DDR4, RTX 2080tiftw3, Windows 10, 1tb 970 M2, TM Warthog, 4k 144hz HDR g-sync.
winchesterdelta1 Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Two weeks ago i had a total computer re-install to windows 7. Did not fix it. Than i switched to windows 10 a week ago still no solution. :( Go in close, and when you think you are too close, go in closer.
Svend_Dellepude Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 I would be surprised if a Win reinstall fixed it. Seems more like a respawn issue as Stuge hinted. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Win10 64, Asus Maximus VIII Formula, i5 6600K, Geforce 980 GTX Ti, 32 GB Ram, Samsung EVO SSD.
Jester Darrak Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Interestingly enough I'm also experiencing frame stuttering with my mirrors on despite having both a potent CPU (5930K) and GPU (GTX980). TWS lag/stuttering only occurs after looong sessions.

TWS lag/stuttering only occurs after looong sessions. this is a completely separate issue. Unless the frame stuttering your experiencing is making the game unplayable. enabling mirrors, tgp etc in game will cause some frame loss. TWS lag still occurring for me. reinstalling/repair did not fix. can post stream if needed. twitch.tv/will4111 Intel i9-9900K 32GB DDR4, RTX 2080tiftw3, Windows 10, 1tb 970 M2, TM Warthog, 4k 144hz HDR g-sync.
winchesterdelta1 Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 I think we already have 6 post with this issue.Lets hope it fixses itself when .0 comes out officially. Cause i have no hope that they will go look into this seriously. It's a game breaking bug and should be resolved ASAP. Something has changed in one of those patches.. And that change needs to be undone. Go in close, and when you think you are too close, go in closer.
will- Posted June 16, 2016 Author Posted June 16, 2016 reformatted PC and re downloaded drivers/updates and dcs. still after 30 or so minutes tws lag will appear when flying online. using Open beta. i do not think this bug is on my side. winchesterdelta1 Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 PLEASE PLEASE FIX TWS BUG ASAP. IT'S NOT FUNNY ANYMORE. Go in close, and when you think you are too close, go in closer.
winchesterdelta1 Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 It is infuriating me. THis is Seriously a game breaking bug. I get 5 And lower FPS with this. And the guy that locks me up wont be able to shoot me cause i'm lagging all over. On a busy server i have to restart every 45 to 60 minutes. Go in close, and when you think you are too close, go in closer.
will- Posted July 2, 2016 Author Posted July 2, 2016 Please help fix this. Even not streaming this bug is still present. Reinstalling Windows10, DCS World this bug is still present. Any advice? Not streaming this game, 80-100fps not using tws, soon as you lock a target, fps drop by 70%, so if i am streaming at 60 fps 10-20fps. The f-15 just becomes unplayable. will- Posted July 10, 2016 Author Posted July 10, 2016 Maybe we can at least get this bug fixed TWS in 120 degree scan. 1. lock a target up in tws mode. 2. press scan + 3. break lock by turning your aircraft out of range of locked target. 4. when you break tws locked target, the radar will now be in tws 120 scan. Maybe while someone is fixing this bug they can also fix the FPS issue that is associated with the f15 in TWS while in multiplayer. thanks. will- Posted July 28, 2016 Author Posted July 28, 2016 @33:27 you can see when i lock up a target in TWS the game gets choppy visually. sorry i have FPS covered in top left, but i can make another video...... but my FPS drop to 10-20 when locking a target in TWS. If im not streaming my FPS still get cut in half from 100+ to 30-40. Intel i9-9900K 32GB DDR4, RTX 2080tiftw3, Windows 10, 1tb 970 M2, TM Warthog, 4k 144hz HDR g-sync.
