I am unable to dial frequencies on com1 in the mirage m2000c. It seems that the numbers are locked. When I mouse over to change the frequencies the numbers doesn't change. I am new to flying this jet and had no issues in the a10C. Anyone know what is causing this?

Sorry, but I want to know where in real M-2000 is positioned the push-to-talk button. In the manual is only written how to enable communication (default keybind is \).

Thanks in advance.

antonio.

It's in HOTAS section in controls.

"Aux. UHF radio SELECT" and

"Main U/VHF Radio SELECT".

Use them to select the radio you want to use.

"\" will use whatever radio is active at that moment.

As said before, this will only work for in-game comms (ATC, Tanker, etc).

Unvires radio is going payware, that will rule it out of public servers use because a public server by design will have to be accessible to all. Aries has some limitations that larger organisations are finding difficult, like flood mode going against security recommendations.

42nd are now using Simple Radio, which works with or without TeamSpeak, so is completely independant, open source and developed with DCS only in mind (not a shoehorn fit). It can be used at the same time as and with the same bindings as, TS.

@nomdeplume I would not rule out an integrated voice comms coming with a dedicated server in the future. I cannot tell you why, but if you want something that is close and less fussy I recommend DCS-SR which can be run on the server itself - it is more of interest to Server admins providing servers for multiplayer. https://github.com/ciribob/DCS-SimpleRadioStandalone/releases/tag/v1.0.1.0

DCS-SR server is a single .exe, needs two ports open, under 5MB in size and as simple as fcuk to use. Anyone can use it on any Windows platform, I especially think anyone interested in using these radios could use it at home to talk to a friend using real radio in cockpit settings.

FAQ for real radios:

1. UHF (top) is pre selected in the Mission editor under the radios tab. If you want to change the frequency set you can use "prepare mission" or edit it in the Mission editor. No changing in game.

2. VHF bottom. Can be set to presets or manual. Can also listen on guard "PoL+G"

3. AMPLIS button pg 90 in manual switches your PTT between the two radios

That's all you need folks.

In the "Escort the Vipers" mission, I've followed all the instructions for switching radios on and I cannot communicate with my flight. I can hear them, but they will not respond to commands. UHF on 251 (preset in mission editor), radio set to M, the Amplis switch is set to 2, radio vol turned up. No joy.

This is in stable release 1.5.3.

This is not the ampli switch.

There are key commands to choose which radio you're talking on.

I don't remember the name of the keys, it could be "main radio" & "aux radio", or red and green radio, or VHF and V/UHF.

It's mapped on my HOTAS...

Got it. I was following the instructions but was still communicating on V/UHF. I noticed it at the top of the comms menu. Switching Amplis switch to 1 fixed it :-)

Sorry, I thought the key bindings I had made mapped the amplis switch. My bad.

In the M 2000c, I saw the training missions and how the radio should work. Is there any particular reason why the V/UHF TX Button on my radio can not be set to "P" or "G" mode. When I click on it, it does not move at all, if I map it to HOTAS or keyboard, it flicks clockwise and then immediately back to "M" mode in all missions and campaigns it only works correctly in the training missions. Can someone help please?

I also noticed if there are 2 pods of rockets loaded only one set will fire, any explanation for that. Thank you

Turn off Easy Comms to make the radios functional.

Regarding rockets: did you also load bombs together with the rocket pods?

I don't know how you people know all these things, but thank you very much, the radio is working now.

Let's just say the problem has come up a couple of times before. :) Glad it works now!

No, only the rockets, it is always the outer ones that are not shooting.

Did you select EXT on the PCA for the outer rocket pods? (INT obviously is for the inner ones and is selected by default once Master Arm on and RK3 selected). See Attachment. Works fine for me in 1.5.

+1. Having problems getting radios to work with SRS, looks like the issue is with the radio buttons in the Mirage itself. Would really like to know what the HOTAS binds for radio selection, push to talk are...

For simpleradio, the buttons in the Mirage don't have to be bound.. if you do, all it'l do is open up the radio menu (same as \ key) everytime you want to talk on SRS.

As mentioned you bind them within simple radio. I have two binds one for uhf and one for vhf radios.

I have easy communitation unchecked and I still cannot tune my one radio from the default of freq 129.00. Anything else I can try to get it working?

On V/UHF radio, left to channel selector you have a rotary labeled M/ P/ G

M = Manuel = you can set the frequency yourself

P = Programme = You select pre-programed channel

When I toggle that switch it just snaps back as do the frequency knobs.
