silentbob11 Posted January 16, 2016 Author Posted January 16, 2016 OK BD, three questions please: 1. do you punch the coordinates with the 38T? i.e: 38TLN59642880? 2. How do you make HUD SOI (via keyboard) 3. If you got coordinates from JTAC saying LN 030 669 how do you type it in the CDU? sorry for sounding confused - this campaign sure is complicated... :\ SB11 CPU: intel Core i7 9700K ~ 3.6 GHZ , nVidia RTX2060 SUPER, 32GB 3300 Mhz RAM, DELL 24" LED. Yurgon Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 1. do you punch the coordinates with the 38T? i.e: 38TLN59642880? See here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2606017#post2606017 2. How do you make HUD SOI (via keyboard) Controls -> A-10C Sim -> HOTAS -> HOTAS Coolie Switch Up (Default: u) Be sure to check out the in-game training, most of all "HOTAS Fundamentals" 3. If you got coordinates from JTAC saying LN 030 669 how do you type it in the CDU? See post linked above. sorry for sounding confused - this campaign sure is complicated... :\ Indeed. ;)
silentbob11 Posted January 16, 2016 Author Posted January 16, 2016 3. If you got coordinates from JTAC saying LN 030 669 how do you type it in the CDU? See post linked above. notice that the coordinates here have only 6 digits which sent me way off course... baltic_dragon Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 You just type the six coordinates, CDU will use them as three for first part then three for second. It is less accurate that way, but still close to target. Remember that 38T is not part of the line you enter. 38T is entered above the main line, and only then you put LN59642880, For more information, please visit my website. Bloodhound57 Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 I had trouble with the Bullseye of 044067 also....You actually have to go about 9 miles north of that bullseye location to find the tanks. They are near the river in the valley. Pretty far off of the bullseye that is given. ____________________________________________________ PC: ASROCK Z370 Gaming K6 | Intel i7 8700K | GeForce 2080TI | 32GB GeSkill 3200 RAM | GeForce 2080TI | 500GB Samsung 850 EVO M.2 | 1TB Samsung 860 EVO M.2 ____________________________________________________ FLIGHT STUFF: Rift S | Warthog Base | Virpil Base | Hornet Grip | A-10 Grip | Cougar Grip | Virpil F-14 Grip | Cougar MFD's | A-10C UFC | Saitek Flight Panels | MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedals
Yurgon Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 Guys, let me hazard a guess... before you input the offset into the CDU, do you set the reference point (*) to bullseye? It defaults to the initial position (the airfield you take off from), which, in this mission, is located roughly 12 nm to the southeast of the bullseye. So if you don't set the reference point, your offset waypoint will be exactly that - roughly 12 nm to the southeast of the bullseye. Check and double-check that you follow each step of the linked video here (2:50). Most importantly, changing the reference point from initial position to bullseye. (*) Not sure whether "reference point" is the correct wording, but it should give you a rough idea of what I'm talking about  Edit: And since this has been going on for a bit, please do post a track so that we can take a look.

silentbob11 Posted January 17, 2016 Author Posted January 17, 2016 Just wanted to clerify - I found those tanks sfter I followed the f10 map to predesignated bunkers in the training area. I'm now on the Scheafer rescue mission (he gets killed every time...) trying to follow the 6 digits coordinates sends me off course by a long shot (415 miles to be exect...) so i'm trying to figure out what am I doing wrong...
