Hi guys, I have a problem. I purchased my original Disk version of DCS A-10C several years ago. I never really played it due to not having a fast enough PC to really enjoy it. Now, I have a new rig and it installs and runs fine. But I cant register to DCS via the UI or anything else. I found that now everything works from DCS World for multiplayer. So, I've downloaded and installed DCS World 1.5 and found nowhere to insert the CD key. So, I found a link for the DCS A-10C version 1.2. However, DCS world gives me an error popup indicating that I need version 1.5.2.48726 of A-10C. I don't see anywhere to download that from. The question is, how do I get the correct version of A-10C to be able to play the game? DCS World only shows purchase options. No CD key options.

Lastly, if anyone can help me by sending me a Surround gaming config file for 3 monitor 1920x1080p setup (if that is still needed), I'd appreciate.

What I would advise you to do to first uninstall everything, then grab the latest version of DCS World. Once you have it installed, go to modules (the four squares on the top of the menu), it will ask you to log in. When you do that, you will have an option to add A-10C. If you have trouble with that, log in to digitalcombatsimulator.com and see your profile there, check if your A-10C is registered. If not I think you can use the licence check field on the bottom left. Hope this helps and welcome back to A-10!

Ok. Thanks for your help on that one. Uninstalled everything and Reinstalled DCS World. Still the same results. When I clicked on the four squares, and select modules, it only showed options to buy the various titles. I did find something in my regular profile just like you said that enabled me to check my key registration. There I found a button that enabled me to "bind" the key to my online profile. Darn, wish there were clearer instructions on that somewher. I lost three days trying to figure this one out.

I just installed 1.5 and had similar problems, this is how i got it to work:

First go to http://updates.digitalcombatsimulator.com and download the new updater, place it in your install directory \bin

Then create a copy of the Launch icon to DCS on the desktop. Right Click the new icon, select properties. In the target line, add " update" at the end.

Select ok and run it, it should update DCS now.

When it's done, go to properties again, replace update with " install A-10C"

Run again and it should install the module

Hi Baltic, yes it works now. The issue was that after searching for your serial number you have to click the "Bind" button in the DCS loggin page's profile settings. This cannot be done from the game itself. After doing that, it will then install the 1.5 version of A-10C. To fix the 3 monitor issue, I had to not use the Nvidia PhysX check box. But, instead go into the game itself and change the resolution to 5760x1080. This is the equivalent of three 1920x1080 monitors. Doing this widens the view across the three monitors without stretching/distorting the display. Thank God I didn't have to go into editing the lua file. Personnally, I think ED can do folks a favor and keep things simple by letting folks know these small details. Both issues were really simple to fix.

A-10 has always been my favorite aircraft. I remember me, Aeyes and XIS from the old Falcon 4.0 days put out the first A-10 mod package for Falcon 4. I must say, I was in awe at how much of a difference having the wider field of view makes. Thanks for adding this option Ed. Everything from sense of speed to seeing SAM launches/bullets being fired at you from your peripheral view. Wow, to think that we've being playing flight sims for all of these years as if we were looking through a straw. Amazing...

I recently installed BMS 4.33 and hopefully can figure out how to get the three monitor config setup up painlessly. So far it has not worked without using the Geforce PhysX check mark. But that is still bugging and causes the display to get stuck in game mode after exiting to Windows.

SilkMan, Aeyes, Falcon 4.0..............never thought I'd see those words strung together again.

That would be a "while" back.
