Dassault's philosophy behind the M-2000Cs armament?

It has been mention that we have the S5 version. Anyone has more specific information on this specific Mirage 2000C? So far I have only found this

http://wiki.scramble.nl/index.php/Dassault_Mirage_2000

Nos. 75 to 124 Series S5, delivered between late 1990 and June 1995.

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..

Valid point, my understanding was the Mirage was not actually intended to be a primary service fighter anyway, but that is was originally designed for export

FAF long wanted a twin engine fighter, but French government long estimated it was too expensive.

Dassault proposed the Mirage 4000 to be FAF fighter funded by French government, and to develop light Mirage 2000 for export on its own funds.

But French government quickly decided to reverse the options, funded the Mirage 2000 for FAF and let Dassault market the Mirage 4000 for export customer.

Saudia Arabia had some interest in Mirage 4000, but without orders for FAF the deal had no chance to conclude.

One Mirage 4000 was built and flew, 2x M53-P2 engines, as big as F-15, a lot of fuel...

Do you actually fly on MP? I am guessing no. You seem to have a strong opinion against PVP in many of your posts but it strikes me that it is something you seem to have little experience with...

My primary concern, as well as that of all the guys I regularly fly with is to get back alive, kills or not.

There is PvP and PvP. One could be described as gamer PvP, where balance prevails and players require double Magic racks for viability, and can be found on servers such as 104th. The other is more axed towards realism, and is more frequent privately, inside squadrons, or on another well known combat flight simulator. I'm pretty sure the only kind of PvP criticized here is the former.

The thing with PvP is that it simply is not enjoyable unless you are skilled in your craft. It's that simple. There is nothing fun about hopping online and getting your ass kicked every time you go up.

So you are saying fire the BVR, a single magic then run leaving the target still in the fight? You realize you are not only breaking contact which now puts you in a bad position, but also giving the enemy your six so using your remaining Magic II will require you to simply reengage. This tactic makes no sense to me. With the M-2000Cs limited stores it is hard to engage even a single aircraft without expending everything.

He has a point, most of people on MP are kamikase, they only want their kill and care less about RTB alive.

And yes I fly MP.

Now if we could have a Mirage 4000 module... I'm daydreaming again :joystick:

Ryzen 3600X - RTX 2080 - 32 GB Ram - DCS on SSD.

DCS Modules : M2K-C, F18-C, FW-190D, Huey, Gazelle, Black Shark, Mig-15, all maps.

Indeed, from my experience it's mostly spawn in the shiniest plane available, hit a couple of hotkeys to start the aircraft up, spAMRAAM around, reckless piloting, respawn & repeat.

I cannot wait for the day where various full fidelity 4th gen fighters are available coupled with servers that forbid FC3 modules and enforces a system of war resource. A bit like the blue flag MP campaign but only for full fidelity aircrafts and with resources rules pushed further so that loosing an aircraft/pilot really has an impact. Maybe even a campaign where every pilot has only one life (generating Heli missions for pilot recovery if the pilot ejected). I reckon that would create intense and vastly different online behavior. But I digress.
