Dear all,

happy New Year and Merry Christmas! Today, I would like to share my result and ideas regarding self-made home cockpit of Su-27 (connected to DCS World 1.5 of course!). I know not to be a pioneer in the approach, but would like to mark up these particularities and advantages related particular to my version:

1) cost/quality ratio is rather high - mainly due to low cost of materials used (wooden panels, cardboad printings. So I've paid about 40 USD (in Russia) for all these stuff (excluding hardware of course).

2) workload - more than moderate. Construction was made within 3 days just by myself with some help of my family members (like hold a panel while screwing nuts for example).

3) assembly appeared very compact and even portable, due to folding method of panels mounting (hinges).

So, by following videos you can evaluate what I have as a result - alsmot "real" home Su-27 cabin, which allows me to master flying at 1:1 visual scale with "native" Su-27 environment!

Don't hesitate to ask questions if any.

Nice Job. Only the side Panels looks a little to big in my Opinion. Where did you find the pictures for the cardboad Printings?

I am with hopes of making a bare bones cockpit shell to accurately place the hotas, I have been hunting the web to try and find pilot placement configurations and really have no luck. I want to make a 100% VR sim, thus eliminating the need for an ascetically pleasing cockpit. The main purpose I want out of it is enough strength to bear the weight of me leaning on the sides to look behind me and a slightly modeled cockpit and just above that is where the VR sensor will be mounted. Holy hell is this going to be expensive.

Excelent work Alex.

What did you use or how did you create Perednuju pribornuju panel:ZK ekran 27.Is this software like helios or what is it?

THX

THanks!

Front panel is created with 27' monitor installed behind the hard panel. Panel has kind of windows (holes) in it to let gauges be visible through them.

Yes, it is like a HELIOS software, but actually it is its analog, programmed (coded) by myself. Like helios, it draws and moves arrows and lamp indicators according to the sensor data which are received by export lua method.

Thanks to everybody for your kind evaluation!

In one of old cabin mods. Basically, they were not in ready condition, so I had to adjust them first.

Is it possible to share the images you used? I am trying to get together a simple pit like this, but am not having any luck with figuring out the scale of everything.
