bunraku Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Hi Doing a cold start my left and right throttles aren't even moving. Flying no problem. So I assume they are linked in my settings and I need to assign the axis for both separate throttles? And if I do do I also need to apply separate commands for starting the engines with them, when you lift them up? Thanks
Psyrixx Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Generally, from a cold start, try moving your throttles forward a little bit and then re-seating them into the full-back detent position before continuing with the start up procedure. baltic_dragon Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 As Psyrixx says, if your engines do not react to throttles, put them back in "off" position and then move them again to "idle". Always works on the second attempt. For more information, please visit my website. If you want to reach me with a bug report, feedback or a question, it is best to do this via my Discord channel. bunraku Posted January 3, 2016 Author Posted January 3, 2016 Ok Thanks. Wasn't sure if I was having to assign left throttle on HOTAS to left throttle in settings and the same for the right. I thought there might be a single throttle setting in DCS that means my 2 different HOTAS throttles were just being recognised as just a single simple throttle and therefore not reaction to separate pushes.
Deezle Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 You can try the setting "Synchronize HOTAS at mission start". I typically find this causes more problems though, such as the throttle being all the way forward and the stick being full forward/left at mission start, really annoying for air starts. Easiest way is to just start the mission with your throttles in the normal place then move them back into the cutoff once you hit "fly". falcon00 Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Ah ha! So it IS a bug. I knew it didn't used to do this. I'm having the same issue. Having to move the throttles twice really messes with the realism.
