Atleast with veao we have seen EFM vids or work in progress and that it is being tested, What have we seen from Aviodev on any sort of flight model or testing, Its not a dig, But does ED have to say enough is enough? the C-101 is a nice looking aircraft and i also brought it A to support them and B i generally would like this with weapons. For now its just great for formation but thats about it.

 

True, and that is why I think Aviodev needs to majorly bump up the communication level. Even if nothing was done but coding, tell us about it... What was coded? You could easily make a post out of that.

 

I can't speak for ED, but I have to say that from my perspective it would (IMO) be irresponsible to customers to allow a pre sale from Aviodev on any future product unless very substantial proof can be made to the aircraft being finished in a timely manner. It would be different if Aviodev said they were not sure if/when a EFM could be done (Before selling!) and asked a lower price, but when EFM was stated to be coming very close behind the first release it was enough for people in my postition to pull the trigger when we probably would have waited in the former case.

I think every 3rd party has had some difficulties along the way with their first module, ED is going through a lot of changes and this transition has been rewarding and challenging.

 

ED have just returned from their xmas / new years break and things will soon start moving along again.

 

That being said lets not turn this thread into a bashing thread, your feedback is being taken onboard I am sure.

When we were invited to buy this module, we were told that the CC model was expected to be released by the end of March 2015 - it's a major reason why I bought it (was only about 2 months away) and I know that goes for many people.

 

Most of us have kept our peace and been patient, but please do not come on here acting like the elder statesman and telling people, almost a year later, that they have no right to expect anything.

 

You are going around threads for much belated projects that have already been sold on certain promises - and that's what they are, trying to tell everyone how they should behave. Please desist. You are not a forum moderator, nor do you speak for anyone else other than yourself.

 

And you certainly don't speak for me or know my mind. I am fully aware of the fact that time lines have slipped horribly, and of course it is far from ideal. It is simply a question of balance, and there is precious little of that on the forum without someone speaking up.

 

You all seem to imply that complaining will do something positive. It won't however, and on the contrary, it is far far more likely to cause the whole project to fold. If I was a developer, and hearing the kind of negativity that we hear ad nauseum here, then I'd just say "F@@@ it" and simply fold the business and walk away.

 

Your own words... "You are going round threads for much belated projects that have been sold on certain promises" - They are ALL affected by delays, which is exactly why ED themselves don't announce stuff very far in advance any more. And there are no promises!!!! Yet the same people keep buying Betas, and expect not to be disappointed by delays.

 

Which project has ever been announced with the word promise in it? That is the whole point I made - if you'd bothered to read it before reacting the way you have. There are expectations, and there are predictions, but just because they're not accurate, it doesn't imply that the vendors did so with any malice, any intent to deceive, or any miraculous powers to change reality. If Aviodev are guilty of anything, it is inexperience and optimism, nothing more.

 

It really helps to beat every last crumb of good will and enthusiasm out of people doesn't it! I was never trying to tell people what to do - but just like you, I have the privilege of saying what I think to be right. Nor am I telling anyone what to say, or claiming to be a moderator - so why I am being accused of pretending to be one?

 

What I am doing is attempting to reason with you, and provide some much needed balance here. Obviously it is pointless, but that isn't my problem, it isn't me that's got unreasonable expectations, or being blind to reality.

Not bashing, But a comment to say this has been done or that has been implemented in the last few days, We have seen the A.I version with weapons and it looks good, What issues are they bumping into? Or bugs they are trying to squash?

Which makes sense as you are not on the team anymore and probably dont know who is working on what, lets let the team update us on that, as far as I know, issues are still being worked on internally, I still see activity on my end. We just got through the holidays, lets let them catch their breath.

I think people already know you are no longer on this project, it was mentioned earlier (in this very thread I believe).

In my opinion the part in bold above is just you trying to settle old scores with Aviodev and I don't think it reflects very positively on you :doh:
