Crunchy Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 (edited) I'm having problems with my Saitek Combat rudder settings. When I land and apply the brakes just below 100kts, I veer of to the right as my nose comes down for some reason. I think it might be to do with my rudder setting, but it could be when I land that I'm doing something wrong. Can someone tell me what their settings are in the fine tune axis on the Combat ruder pedals including brake settings. Thanks! Edited January 8, 2016 by Crunchy
Azrayen Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 It is not related to your settings but to a geometry "bug" on the aircraft. Razbam guys are aware and working on it IIRC. Solution? Just a bit of patience until it is fixed. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=156925
Fab Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Acording to the flight manuel, you are to airbreak with the wing plane until after 90 kts, then gentel settel nose Down, after that applay breaks in small preasures not more than 1 sec it Works for me, no skriding (rember to applay nose weel stearing) Intel Core i7-6700K Cpu 4.00 GHz OC 4.8 GHz Water Cooled|32 GB DDR4 ram OC| Nvidia RTX 2080Ti| TrustMaster Warthog|Saitek Battle Pro Pedals | Logitec G13| Oculus Rift S :joystick: I´m in for a ride, a VR ride:pilotfly: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBX_-Hml7_7s1dggit_vGpA?view_as=public
jcbak Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Same here.....you need to gently tap the brakes or you will go into a skid. Apply NWS below 50 kts. TomCatMucDe Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 (edited) I found out that if you do landing with a low shallow approach, your touch down speed would be minimal while keeping the 14 AoA. and in this case you wouldnt need to apply your wheel brakes at all. This probably wouldnt work if you are landing very heavy. here is an example of how I do it. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2629921&postcount=5 Edited January 8, 2016 by TomCatMucDe

Crunchy Posted January 8, 2016 Author Posted January 8, 2016 When breaking the mirage drifts to left and I end in the grass Envoyé de mon iPhone en utilisant Tapatalk Yes. it might me left for me but I can't remember which way it is right now. I'll try tapping the brakes next time.
gospadin Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 CptSmiley posted that there's a bug where the left and right landing gear aren't modeled identically, which causes pulling to one side. This is likely related to why it's so hard to brake evenly. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2618507&postcount=1 My liveries, mods, and missions for DCS:World M-2000C English Cockpit | Extra Beacons Mod | Nav Kneeboard | Community A-4E
TomCatMucDe Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 If you open the m2000.lua you d see different parameters of left and right wheels.
