Hi gents,

i have to little questions,

1. i have on my Fw190 when i fly at 3000 rpms a long grey exhaust plume,

that i can see but not my wingman. Also my wingman has no long grey

exhaust plume i dont see it too. And also my wingman cant see them by

other german planes, FW190 and Me 109, but i can. Is this a graficard or

grafic setting problem? We bothe are using MSI 680 gtx 4 GB and have

settings to the max ingame. nvidia settings are application controlled.

2. I it normal that with 1.5.2 in wideview the dots from fare planes look like

little blurred grey clouds? and when you zooming in they become little

dots, than dissapire and come back as little LoD planes?

regards

1. Probably has to do with the settings, I am not sure though.

2. Yes, those are the impostors for the enhanced visibility option, those are basically icons that are meant to compensate for the huge difference in visibility in the sim compared to real life.

You can turn them off, small, medium or large in your options.

The problem at the moment is that when they are swapped with the actual model once the plane gets close, the plane is pretty small and hard to see, which leads to the effect you described. I expect that will change with the next few patches.

Hi Aginor,

thx for your aswers. There is a third question :).

is it historical correct, that the altmeter in the goes only up to 9999m? even in old 1946 in the FW it goes up to 12K+.

P.S.: bevore you ask, yes i would fly the FW up to this alts, in 1946 i bounced a P-51 at 10000m from 12000m in a FW 190A-8 :) i think he was a little bit suprised :)

It is correct according to full manual (recommended read by the way). I don't know the real instrument though to judge whether it was modelled correctly.

Number 1 is a known issue, it has to do with (I suspect) abrupt changes in manifold pressure.

Number 2 is intended I believe.

Have you seen the real deal? It's modelled just like that. BUT, 10 doesn't means you're limited to 10.000m, if you go higher the needle will keep turning and as you know you're over 10K you would be able to read until 20K without further notice, as IRL.
