gavagai Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 3 out of 4 guns jammed all at the same time while I was firing at a P-51 on ACG. I did a search, but no luck. What did I do wrong? I've never had the guns jam in the P-51 or 109 without taking enemy fire. I've never had the guns jam in the P-51 or 109 without taking enemy fire. It happened to me to, not only the guns but other functions namely those which I have mapped to default keyboard keys. Apparently it is solved when I close the chat window. If chat window is opened, and specially if the input line active, some axis, buttons and keys will be swallowed :-) Flight Simulation is the Virtual Materialization of a Dream...

Krupi Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Hope so, I have read from pilots that the 109's 30mm was plagued with jam's! Narushima Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Both the 109 and 190 had an unjam feature. 190 was electric while 109 was pneumatic. I'd have to check how it worked on the K-4, but for the D-9 the unjam was automatic. The dud round would get ejected at the press of the firing trigger. The dud round would get ejected at the press of the firing trigger. Pneumatic for both guns on the 109, the 131 was automatic for certain, the MK 108 is a bit fuzzy - early G-6/U4 manuals note the cannon unjamming is manual but planned to be automatic (G-6/U4's MK 108 however was an afterthought mod installation), cant seem to find it in the K-4 manual though. http://www.kurfurst.org - The Messerschmitt Bf 109 Performance Resource Site Vezérünk a bátorság, Kísérőnk a szerencse! -Motto of the RHAF 101st 'Puma' Home Air Defense Fighter Regiment The Answer to the Ultimate Question of the K-4, the Universe, and Everything: Powerloading 550 HP / ton, 1593 having been made up to 31th March 1945, 314 K-4s were being operated in frontline service on 31 January 1945.
Croaker47 Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Don't own this plane, but IronJockel is correct. The 30mm cannons liked to jam during maneuvers, the 108 more than the 103. I would guess that's why some (Well, at least one) German pilots kept a G-10 with a 20mm around for dogfighting.

I didn't mentioned the 30mm^^ Ingame the two 20mm on the Dora are more likely to jam than the 30mm on the k4. At least that is what i experienced. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

The fact that they jam (Amd have systems for unjamming) in the sim is pretty cool (No idea if the new IL-2 has that). I haven't really decided which plane to pick up, but the 190 has always been my favorite WWII model.

Croaker47 Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Well that's disappointing. Not altogether missed, really, but disappointing.
