lawsjr Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Not sure if this is me or a problem somewhere. Every time I take off in the Eagle it pulls to the left. This is a center line thrust aircraft and shouldn't pull either way on take off. I am using Saitek Pro Flight Combat Rudder Pedals. Tried adjusting settings for them and found nothing that helps. any idea?
codefox Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Do you have any crosswind in your mission? You can see it in the mission briefing if I recall correctly. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

lawsjr Posted January 22, 2016 Author Posted January 22, 2016 Well that could be but it is a 4 m/s wind at 95 degrees which is a 50 degress off the nose and only at 7.8 knots, which is not very much wind for that size aircraft. But who knows.
codefox Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 You will feel it a bit nonetheless. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
lawsjr Posted January 22, 2016 Author Posted January 22, 2016 yea a very little. in the small aircraft I fly anything under 10 knots for a cross wind doesn't cause any problems on take off at all.
strikeeagle Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 yea a very little. in the small aircraft I fly anything under 10 knots for a cross wind doesn't cause any problems on take off at all. Had a 15 gusting to 25 knot direct xwind in a 737 w/out pax and the right wing was flying before the left. Lots of yoke and spoilers were deployed. This was on take-off :pilotfly: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Chris
lawsjr Posted January 23, 2016 Author Posted January 23, 2016 the gust will get you. With what the briefing is saying it isn't gusting and the cross wind component is 7 knots, and not a true cross wind is more a quartering headwind. What I am experiencing takes lots of rudder movement to keep it down the runway, like I was flying a tail wheel aircraft.

I also get a left uncommanded roll after wheels up and always have to input right trim...always :joystick: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Chris
probad Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Did you guys make sure both engines were spinning? The F-15 only can start 1 engine at a time, you have to spam the other engine's startup while the first one is spooling.
lawsjr Posted January 23, 2016 Author Posted January 23, 2016 yep I get the same thing which is unusual. Shouldn't be rolling right after take off or pushing the nose to the left on take off roll. And yes both engines are running and with center line thrust that wouldn't make that much difference.
lawsjr Posted January 23, 2016 Author Posted January 23, 2016 also this doesn't happen in FC3 and the open bata. But is in Nevada 2.0.

The F-15 only can start 1 engine at a time, you have to spam the other engine's startup while the first one is spooling. You dont need to spam the other engine's startup. Just wait till the needle of the first engine you spool starts to move. And then turn on the other engine. Go in close, and when you think you are too close, go in closer.
SinusoidDelta Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 I hate to be that guy but.. Everyone who thinks this is an error and truly wants it corrected, please upload a track to dropbox. I'll upload one myself There are a lot of variables and without any presentation of the concern, an official response is unlikely. This is why suggestions about verifying both engines spooled come up.
lawsjr Posted January 23, 2016 Author Posted January 23, 2016 no worries, how do I upload a track? and really not sure if it is a bug or problem or just me. Did notice today that the A10 pulls a little left on take off roll and rolls right bad once off the ground. I is normal for most pilots to drop the right wing a little.
SinusoidDelta Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 C:\Users\*your PC username*\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Tracks The folder will be DCS World if you use steam or DCS.openalpha for NTTR.
