HornedGod Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Any chance of some release notes for the 109 in today's update (DCS 1.5.2.49392 Update 2)? It's clearly had some work done. Have some of the changes in the 2.0 alpha have made it over, as my takeoff routine now has to be different? While before I just ram the throttle all the way to 1.4ata, doing that today resulted in me scrapping my wings all over tarmac. I found it much better to just bump it up in stages just like I normally do in the Dora.

Make sure you set them back to no takeoff assist ( 0%, slider full left ) and untick the auto-rudder box. Flight Simulation is the Virtual Materialization of a Dream...
HornedGod Posted January 23, 2016 Author Posted January 23, 2016 I double checked, assistance is still at zero and auto-rudder is off. Just me then?
otto Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 I had very specific flaps, trim and joystick, rudder curve settings. And with those setting i could do a spiral that i practiced almost every day. In this version either i black out easier than before or i stall easier . I think there has been some change.
SlipBall Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 The notes listed after the update didn't mention any flight model changes...some might have been done though ???
Anatoli-Kagari9 Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 I tried it at one of the servers this morning, although I flew mainly the p51d, and didn't notice any differences, but then, after an hour flying that "unstable" and "wobbly" p51d, anything feels easier and better, even more the K-4 :-) Flight Simulation is the Virtual Materialization of a Dream...

The thing can't turn! (Or so it feels, I know it's very subjective. :) ) I think I will need to practice the P-51 a bit more to get more out of it. :) System specs: Gigabyte Aorus Master, i7 9700K@std, GTX 1080TI OC, 32 GB 3000 MHz RAM, NVMe M.2 SSD, Oculus Quest VR (2x1600x1440) Warthog HOTAS w/150mm extension, Slaw pedals, Gametrix Jetseat, TrackIR for monitor use
Schnarre Aggro Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 i flew 109 yesterday a little and did not experience any difference in flightmodel ... though i have to say that i experienced a little more warping between the clients ... though that "might" be subjective on my side AND i did not check back the pings of my opponents... anybody else seen that ? Anatoli-Kagari9 Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 (edited) There are differences indeed :-) and for better. Probably those items that Yo-Yo had already fixed but didn't find their way into a release are finally implemented. What I notice is: 1) Using the Quick Takeoff Mission, and changing the MW50 ( last tab ) to Empty, probably really empties the MW50 tank now, because after takeoff, specially if your fuel tank is not filled, and the less fuel you carry the more, you will need to trim tail heavy! 2) On landing, between -3 and -4 tail heavy trim, with prop set to 11:45 and full flaps, gear down, gives you a perfect glide path. 3) I'm not absolutely sure about this one, but accelerated stalls, when the slats deploy, are a lot more benign, and for sure the power off stall is now PERFECT! 4) The "Flaps with Gear Up" horn is now a lot tuned down :-) Edited January 23, 2016 by jcomm Flight Simulation is the Virtual Materialization of a Dream...

I generally come in landing at 12:00, with 2 "notches" of flap, (as noted on the wing). (and of course some trim for the tail) I'll take her out shortly, and try the edge of accelerated stalls to see if any change. I also noticed the horn sounds more muted. I cant howerver confirm a change in power on stall behavior. Maybe I am missing the comparison here. How do I roll back the version? otto Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Does the weight change in mission editor when taking off the MW50 for you guys ?
Anatoli-Kagari9 Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Does the weight change in mission editor when taking off the MW50 for you guys ? Strangely, no, it doesn't. Flight Simulation is the Virtual Materialization of a Dream...
