Hans I can see your view and don't get me wrong I don't disagree. But I have chased ladies on motorbikes (racing) and to be honest there lack of testicles seems to keep them out of trouble. So as I stated I would. Like to see what it would be like to go toe to toe with a lady. As the playing field is completely level with flight sims it will only be down to skill. No G's no adrenaline etc.

But that makes no sense... it has nothing to do with the pilot on the other end being female or not, its all about how much skill/time they have, so there might be many factors determine the outcome, what gender they are probably isnt one of them.

As for the "woman was able to land 737(?) with verbal instruction.." part, that makes sense to me. It's my belief that men's ego gets in the way. "I won't listen to him...I know what I'm doing..." Men are trained in our society to act this way. And it can be detrimental when trying to learn something new. Driving, flying, you name it. My gut feel is that women make more attentive students and therefore will learn quicker. This is not based on science or any study...it's just based on my experience when it comes to learning mechanical things.

Until someone steps forward it's all really academic. But still isn't it nice that from a curious idea such has been said in positivity for our counterparts that don't want to he named. I was curious about an idea. And all I have noticed is men talking about right and wrong and positive and negative can these ladies not speak for them self's?

I think if anything get's in the way for men, it's often macho behavior. Testosterone I guess. Often can be seen in traffic here. As for men not wanting to listen: I can't say I've seen that behavior here. It's perhaps a more cultural thing then.

Mythbusters have done a test also where they were talked into landing a passenger plane and they succeeded as well. Simulator, but nevertheless.

The whole debate is rather pointless I think. Practice can make anybody perfect so to speak, and we all have our pros and cons as individuals.

Mud I feel like I'm slamming my head against a brick wall. It's only about curiosity. I think that this has blown up into debate of sex, strength and power is pointless. I'm curious about fly skill and in fact would have loved to see a different view to an attack run. That's what I was looking for and now all I'm getting is men banging on about right and wrong etc. All I wanted to know about was skill and view point. I work in a massively female dominated industry for some years and the my eyes have been opened. If any ladies want to fly give me a pm and I will keen it aynonomus. I want to learn a different type of attack flying. That's all plain and simple. Sorry ladies if this has annoyed you with the various willy waving. That was not my intention at all. And thus ends the discussion that has gone out of control!

Haven't seen that many women on here, maybe two or three in the past 3 or so years I've been playing.

No idea about the skill, I'd imagine its really just an output of how much they are interested in the subject and how much time they might have to learn/play/etc.

BTW, the gals on here didn't seem to do things differently than the rest of us, if that's what you're really wondering about.

Jateu,

I think you're making a circular argument. While others - admittedly myself included -went off on a tangent out of academic curiosity.

Why would you *expect* any difference? After all, AoA is AoA regardless gender. I think that's what others were trying to point out.

If your question was posed as:

1) I'm a surgeon, and I'm curious how female surgeons operate. Can some of you women surgeons post?

2) I'm a policeman. I'd like to find out what it's like to go on a patrol with a policewoman. Can you post?

you can see how some might find that

a) academic discussion at best

b) entertaining non sequitur to sim'ing

c) inflammatory to the jaded crowd.

I myself vote B. :)

I know what you mean, Jateu. I also didn't really expect it to go this way, but on the other hand I'm also not completely surprised. Let's see if we can make it die a silent death :)

I'm will to put money on they do. It's not just about procedures but and what They see etc. Like I said was looking to another view point. Again this topic is ended.
