Sudden blackouts, blurred vision and ear ringing

Recommended Posts

I have multiple occasions now where my pilots vision has blurred and ears start ringing or straight blackouts while in a relatively stable flight path. No hard turning, etc.

Am I doing something to incur this behavior or is there a bug?

But.....if you don't turn your oxygen on, you'll suffer those same effects when you start getting to higher altitudes. I have never had those effects with the Mig15, unless I forgot to turn on my oxygen. And when they happened, the effects went away within seconds of my turning the valve.

Just offering it as a solution as I have made that mistake myself.

I always get this. Not usually a blackout as such, but flying relatively straight the sound will be drowned out and a ringing will start. I have noticed a couple of times that I have been hit by enemy fire around the same time, but I'm not sure if that is the cause. I've also noticed that quite often my speed indication will stop working around the same time, which makes me think I have been hit. I would love to know what causes this.

Cheers,

I turned on the cockpit air, oxygen (blinker working), and the cockpit vent next to the gun sight.

While I turned final on my second flight I noticed periodic hypoxia along with a static blinker. Did I run out of oxygen or something?

DCS modules are built up to a spec, not down to a schedule.

In order to utilize a system to your advantage, you must know how it works.

Such a relief to find you were talking about your virtual pilot and not yourself when I opened this thread.

Anyways send him my best wishes and hope he's feeling better.

#I've been dreaming about an unlicensed version of the MIG-31...
