Gazza.Blake Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Hi all, done mission 3 last night, splashed 2 migs, mission success message came up so completed the flight plan and back to Nellis, 4 ejected, but when back at Nellis and ending the flight I couldn't move onto mission 4 ? The only thing I didn't do was the full 40 mins vul due fuel getting low. Do I need to do the full 40 mins vul even after the mission success message appears to pass the mission ? Hope this makes sense, feel like I'm waffling on a bit. StandingCow Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Nope you don't have to do the vul time part. Soon as the mission success comes up you can return home, land and move to your parking spot and end it. 5900X - 32 GB 3600 RAM - 1080TI My Twitch Channel ~Moo
Steve Davies Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Sounds like a bug, Gazza. Try flying the mission again and see if it repeats. Steve Davies https://www.10percenttrue.com
Gazza.Blake Posted February 6, 2016 Author Posted February 6, 2016 Yeah will try it again. Just a pain as I have to wait till I get the next spare hour or so to do it. Also that's my overall score dented. Gazza.Blake Posted February 8, 2016 Author Posted February 8, 2016 Ok have done this again twice, got sot down by a SAM one of them but the other again said "Mission Success" but still stuck wont move onto mission 4. Have reset the campaign and start again and see what happens. Intel® i9 9900K Coffee Lake OC 5.1GHz, ASUS ROG Maximum Formula LGA1151 MB, Windows 10® 64bit Pro, 64GB 3200MHz DDR4 RAM, EVGA Black Edition 2080Ti OC GPU, 2 x Samsung Evo 970 NVMe 1TB Drives, 1 x Samsung Evo 860 2TB SSD, 1 x Seagate 2TB HDD, 1 x Acer™ Predator 35" 4K Wide Flat Monitor, TM Warthog HOTAS, MFG Crosswind pedals, Oculus Rift S
Steve Davies Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Sorry to hear this, Gazza. I don't have any real technical knowledge of how these campaigns work, but I will ping Wags and ask if he is aware of anything that can be done. Steve Davies https://www.10percenttrue.com

Steve Davies Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Further to Matt's post... Gazza, can you post a track? What happens if you exit the mission the instant that you see the Mission Success message? Matt and I are not aware of any bugs surrounding this mission, so it does seem likely that the issue is to do with airspace violations. Steve Davies https://www.10percenttrue.com

Gazza.Blake Posted February 9, 2016 Author Posted February 9, 2016 Your both right, never took into account the restricted airspace top left of the map for the mission. What a dumbass. Getting so carried away with chasing Migs and dodging SAMs I get disorientated at times and struggle to get back on track, then miss the majority of messages. Sorry chaps, thanks for ya help. Back to it then I suppose. TheHighwayman Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Mission 03 won't end? Hello, I fly mission 3, shoot down the baddies, fly home and land, taxi to my original spot, but the mission does not end and does not progress to number 04. Has anybody else had this issue or know what to do? I do not follow all waypoints strictly, notably, we get startup permission late and depart late, so I cut a few corners in the shy to save time and fuel. Could this be the problem? Thanks for your help!
Jinker Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 I have the same problem, and I do follow the waypoints 1 High jinks!
Jinker Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 To win this mission, all you need to do is make sure the Strike Eagles hit their target and that you do not enter a restricted area. Did this mission several times, never got the "success" message, althought: -I downed all the reds -The Strike Eagles hit their targets -The F-16s fired undisturbed their Harms, but didn't destroy their targets. They kept flying around them and strafing until they crashed out of fuel High jinks!
ED Team Wags Posted April 4, 2016 ED Team Posted April 4, 2016 If the mission was not completed, one or both of the things happened: 1- You did not protect the Strike Eagle flights from hit their target. 2- You strayed into restricted airspace (container or Tonopah) Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/wagmatt Twitch: wagmatt System: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3729544#post3729544
Jinker Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Ok, tried again. I paused several times to see what Dodge 1 and 2 do. They bomb their targets, which are then listed as "dead" in the summary, but I still get no success message. It seems I can't attach the track file because it's too large High jinks!
Jinker Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 And, of course, I don't fly into restricted airspace High jinks!
ED Team Wags Posted April 5, 2016 ED Team Posted April 5, 2016 I play tested the missions and received Mission Success message when Strike Eagles destroyed their target. Ended the mission and moved to mission 04. 1 Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/wagmatt Twitch: wagmatt System: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3729544#post3729544
TheHighwayman Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 I'm having the same problem as above. I am completing the mission, avoiding restricted airspace, and even wait for Dodge Flights 1 & 2 to land and park at Nellis. I have a massive trackview of the whole mission as well. No success message and I am looped back to Mission 03. There has to be some variable we are missing. Is it possible I can dropbox a tacview to someone to review? Is there a way to fly mission 4 separately?
Jinker Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Next trial, same results. I attached the log file. Again, I saw the two targets being destroyed. However I noticed that Dodge 1 confirms the kill with a message like "Center GCI down", while Dodge 2 doesn't confirm its kill. Maybe the script waits for this confirmation and the mission success depends on it: if this is the case, it needs a correction. P.S.: in this trial (only in this one!), Dodge 22 crashed somewhere out in Caliente Bravo, 100 miles away from the engegement zone (see attached image)... please don't tell me that this mission works correctly.F15C_RedFlag_mis03.txt High jinks!
Jinker Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Trial number 7: mission success. It seems that both airplanes of both Dodge flights have to drop their bombs to trigger the message "Dodge X, bombs away, off to the north", even though the command center and the EWR are *already* destroyed. After this message is given, the check of the status of the targets is done. In my case, the "mission success" message was given just after the bombs away one from Dodge 2. High jinks!
TheHighwayman Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Both Dodge flights dropped payloads during my mission last night, but still no mission success. It seems something very specific, beyond player control, has to happen? What can I do, other than follow the flight plan and shoot down MiGs to facilitate this? I've shot down 4 MiGs in one mission and still not passed. I guess I'm worried that my advancement depends largely on an AI script that seems to fail a lot? Thanks for any insight/feedback! It's a CREDIT to the designers that I've flown this mission at least ten times now, and still come home to fly it again and again!
Xxx Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 I agree these campaigns are superbly compelling. I purchased TACVIEW to help me work out what I was doing wrong. This helped a great deal. However, I have a problem with my log file. It seems sometimes the log is not saved correctly. This halts any previous progress. Have a look at this thread. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=161101 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]i7 Haswell @ 4.6Ghz, Z97p, GTX1080, 32GB DDR3, x3SSD, Win7/64, professional. 32" BenQ, TIR 5, Saitek x55 HOTAS.
