gazmonalpha Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Hi, i want to install 1 module per install of dcs world, I have 4 purchased modules so can I install dcs 4 times e.g.. An install just for A10-C An install for ka-50 etc.. How do I do this please?? I think I need to modify the saved game names is this correct? I am trying to narrow down some conflicts and game errors I'm getting by keeping to single modules per install Gazmon System Specs, Core i7 950 OC 4.2Ghz, 1.5TB Hdd, MSI GTX 980 Ti, 24GB Ram, WIN 10 64 Bit, 1000w PSU ,Trackir5, Thrustmaster Warthog:)
Morpheus Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 For multi installations of DCS you have just to copy/paste one installation and rename the new one, make shorcut to launch every one. If you want to have several folders in "Saved Games" you have just to create a file text in DCS World (the copy), name it "dcs_variant" and write for example "World_A-10C". Launch DCS and go in options, save modifications, a "DCS.World_A-10C" will be create in "Saved Games" with your options for each installation :smilewink:dcs_variant.txt
shagrat Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 Please follow the procedure in this thread (first post). http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030 Morpheus is right, but it helps to understand what happens etc. May I ask, why you want multiple installs for the modules? It does make sense for different versions of the Sim, but as the modules are licensed and activated per machine/PC what is the benefit of having 3 or 4 installs with modules that can reside in different versions without issue? gazmonalpha Posted February 11, 2016 Author Posted February 11, 2016 (edited) Installing 2 or 3 dcs world versions I have been having major problems getting the game to run in its standard form( all my modules installed in one DCS install ) It was working fine but I started to get 'modified dll file' (asynchnet.dll) errors and the game just would not start So I have done separate installs and loaded only 1 module per install Done this to see what difference it makes and at moment I can play, so I just don't know what conflict in my system was causing dll errors Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited February 11, 2016 by gazmonalpha System Specs, Core i7 950 OC 4.2Ghz, 1.5TB Hdd, MSI GTX 980 Ti, 24GB Ram, WIN 10 64 Bit, 1000w PSU ,Trackir5, Thrustmaster Warthog:)
