FeistyLemur Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 I'm getting freezing in multiplayer frequently. It's happened in the air, and sitting on the ground right at the start. It just crashes to desktop with DCS has stopped working. I've hopefully attached the correct logs that are of use for the crashes I've experienced tonight. I was flying the SU 27 from the flaming cliffs collection when the most problems were occurring.Logs.rar

OldE24 Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 in regard to SSD and multiplayer freezing i found SUPERFETCH to be a cause. also multiplayer server like 104th seem to be experiencing these spikes it's not you it's server wide and sometimes they cause the game to crash and sometimes it comes back. Disable from Services Hold the Windows Key, while pressing “R” to bring up the Run dialog box. Type “services.msc“, then press “Enter“. The Services window displays. Find “Superfetch” in the list. Right-click “Superfetch“, then select “Properties“. Select the “Stop” button if you wish to stop the service. In the “Startup type” dropdown menu, choose “Disabled“. 8700k@4.7 32GB ram, 1080TI hybrid SC2
FeistyLemur Posted February 15, 2016 Author Posted February 15, 2016 Ill try disabling superfectch just to try it. The crashes I've had have often if not exclusively been on the 104th server.
BitMaster Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 (edited) Win10 should do it automatically if installed on SSD...sooner or later after a few reboots...and if the SSD is also your boot device. check google ..like this: http://www.technipages.com/windows-enable-disable-superfetch Edited February 15, 2016 by BitMaster Gigabyte Aorus X570S Master - Ryzen 5900X - Gskill 64GB 3200/CL14@3600/CL14 - Sapphire Nitro+ 7800XT - 4x Samsung 980Pro 1TB - 1x Samsung 870 Evo 1TB - 1x SanDisc 120GB SSD - Heatkiller IV - MoRa3-360LT@9x120mm Noctua F12 - Corsair AXi-1200 - TiR5-Pro - Warthog Hotas - Saitek Combat Pedals - Asus XG27ACG QHD 180Hz - Corsair K70 RGB Pro - Win11 Pro/Linux - Phanteks Evolv-X
FeistyLemur Posted February 15, 2016 Author Posted February 15, 2016 (edited) It was on, i tried turning it off, I went in and promptly crashed in multiplayer within minutes of taking off. No improvement. I was playing just now on the 104 server. I flew a whole sortie in the mig 21 and unfortunately got shot down. But was able to fly for quite some time in it. I switched to the su27 and took off, froze up and crashed by the time I got half way to the bullseye. I've only managed to fly an entire mission takeoff to landing in the 27 that I can think of once since I've been playing this month. I have been away for a while and only just picked it up on this particular version. The last time I played multiplayer was probably December on the earlier 1.5.x versions Edited February 15, 2016 by FeistyLemur
FeistyLemur Posted February 17, 2016 Author Posted February 17, 2016 Another note on this. I played for about 2 hours uninterrupted just now on the 104 server in the KA-50 engaging ground targets. Last night I couldn't even make it into the combat area in the SU-27. Granted the population of the server was also very low tonight, so it's not the greatest test.
