Hello Miles,

 

I too am interested and have PM'd you.

 

I wonder if anyone on here knows of a mod to update the other two pots in the Cougar throttle (Antenna and Radar Cursor)? Perhaps hall sensors or something equivalent?

I just use it as a standard windows controller and do all of the programming in DCS, Best bet for a thread is to just do a search.

I use both the FSSB-R1 and FCC3 kits, and TUSBA-R2 but have a stock Cougar waiting for a HS mod like yours. I'm interested in comparing them as well.

Thanks for all of your support for this kit. I am just about caught up on shipping. If you haven't received your invoice yet, feel free to PM me again. This has become a bit of work to make these and I finally did the math for my time and I need to raise the price as follows.

Throttle Kit $40.00USD

Flight Stick Kit $55.00USD

Flat rate shipping and paypal fees for up to 2 kits is still $6.75USD in the U.S. and $17.50USD in and around Europe.

Any PMs prior to this message the price is still $30.00 and $50.00.

USE a lot of directed light

 

Gents:

 

I got everything to work while the TQS was open (not the buttons and that is another story) ...... calibrated nicely. CLosed TQS........ and no

throttle control!

 

Well here is what I did wrong: 1. Not enough light. I plugged in the button ribbon missing the entire top row of pins....... no buttons worked... naturally.

 

2. I did not pull the three wires connector for from the Miles' sensor away from the throttle....... well as soon as I closed the unit.... set the screws in.... the wires were damaged enough so no signal was getting through!

 

Miles gave excellent directions.......... I just needed to follow them:<)

 

I have contacted Miles to secure a new sensor........

I do notice the board sits lower on the mounting towers... suggestion ... u can purchase drain clear plastic hose and place around the towers...... use a washer to hold in place and use the screws to secure?

Hi Roland,

The replacement boards I made were for the old plastic TQS and the F22 Pro. They were not for the cougar. I was going to make one for the cougar but never got around to it. Basically the boards were drop in replacements to turn the old gameport controllers into PnP HID 32 button USB joysticks. With the F22 you even got most of the pinky switch duel functions read as just another button.

Just FYI - for Cougar TQS are the Real Simulator TUSBA adapter in two versions, is "PnP" and is 14 bits (16384 resolution points).

 

Both versions make TQS a standalone HID controller for Windows/games - no drivers installs is needed.
