Steph-JJ Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 That is not right. "You want me to fly in the back of a tiny little jet with a crazy fighter pilot who thinks he´s invincible, home in on a SAM site in North Vietnam and shoot it before it shoots me? You´ve gotta be shittin´me!" Captain Jack Donovan
gospadin Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 I think that's intended. Sun is shining on the parts of the panel that don't appear orange. There's still some smaller bugs with it though that I reported separately, but your picture looks correct to me. YoYo Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Yes, its not a bug but feature but I dont like it too ;D Webmaster of http://www.yoyosims.pl Win 10 64, i9-13900 KF, RTX 5090 32Gb OC, RAM 64Gb Corsair Vengeance LED OC@3600MHz,, 3xSSD+3xSSD M.2 NVMe, Predator XB271HU res.2560x1440 27'' G-sync, Sound Blaster Z + 5.1, TiR5, [MSFS, P3Dv5, DCS, RoF, Condor2, IL-2 CoD/BoX] VR fly only: Meta Quest Pro
gospadin Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 It actually looks pretty realistic to me. The gauges on my car do the same thing when sun shines directly on them. Just need a way to enable cockpit shadows without enabling all shadows, because flying east in NTTR around sunset makes it almost impossible to see without backlighting. PE_Tigar Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 I think the effect is pretty good, just a little bit exaggerated - needs a bit of a tweak, that's all.

Indeed, it's a nice effect but needs some tweaking. The MiG-21 has the same kind of effect but smoother. Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

Our texturizer is learning how to use the new materials available in DCS. But your critique is welcome. "Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning." "The three most dangerous things in the world are a programmer with a soldering iron, a hardware type with a program patch and a user with an idea."

Steph-JJ Posted February 20, 2016 Author Posted February 20, 2016 My bad.
