YoYo Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 (edited) Hello, just for clarification. Switch offers range for 160, just Id like to know why the target disappeared in this range if it presents at range 80. 80 - contact 160 - no contact. Notice only that range of RDI is near 60 nm (depends on the high, some sources indicate near 150km=93 miles). I never saw any contact on 160 option (not implemented yet or something else?). QuiGon Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 (edited) Radar Displays can display ranges (160 in this case) that are beyond the actual range of the radar just in case. It's kinda like the speedometer in your car, which usally shows greater speed ranges than your car is capable of, unless you drive downhill or something like that. It's the same with the radar screen. The radar might pick up targets at 160nm if they have the size of a star destroyer or something like that ;) Besides that it should still display the contact you saw at 80nm (or rather 70nm) in the 160nm scale. That indeed looks like a bug but RAZBAM is working on the radar right now (http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=161206). Noob question: what is RDI? That's the french radar we have in the mirage. atonium83 Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Noob question: what is RDI? RDI means Radar Doppler à Impulsion, it's the upraded version of the RDM radar (Radar Doppler Multifonction), both are made for the M2000C.

Yeah, but a target that are displayed at 60 nm in the 80nm range should also show up when changing to the 160nm range, just closer to the bottom of the display. | i7-10700K 3.8-5.1Ghz | 64GB RAM | RTX 4070 12GB | 1x1TB M.2. joey45 Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 What scan settings did you have? The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. YoYo Posted February 23, 2016 Author Posted February 23, 2016 What scan settings did you have? In both situations the same, 160 isnt work in any conditions.
