HSI selector (knob)

Hello,

 

2.0.1 Update 1 - is a problem with HSI selector (knob) now.

It turns (by mouse) but green pointer on HSI dosen't move.

Also, it doesn't turn while A/P is on when using the trimmer left/right like it used to...

Trim option with Autopilot ON dosent work properly also.

I'm glad it's not just me, I couldn't see the green marker move and AP goes nutz if you move it

and as that's being fixed it would be nice to have hot keys or even axis commands so we can assign the course selector knob to HOTAS or hot keys??

The knob is not a course selector.

 

You do have keys to select course, it's the trim hat (when AP is On).

 

Yes, it's buggy now. But Razbam proved they can fix things quickly, so I'm confident ;)

for me the green arrow pointer (GAP) moves if one turns the mouse Wheel (MW)

but if you use the left mouse button (LMB) and drag, the pointer goes to one direction then the opposite.

Can't agree, this VAD Knob operates with AP off green triangle (as course) if AP is on You can use trimm also for this. In "normal" avionic Heading Select Knob responds of Heading Select Bug witch is connect with autopilot also and for me it looks similar.

For sure I never drive in RL M2000 but it looks for me like HSI in other plane. Is any manual in English for Mirage 2000C in the net, Id like to check it?

In DCS it did that sometimes (depends on versions). But this is not RL behaviour.

 

You can use trimm also for this.

It certainly looks similar, and I was surprised too. :huh:

But "normal" avionics is not a definite notion. And I can assure you the M-2000C is "abnormal" (if you want to think of it in those terms); this is from both the manual you quoted and talks to real M-2000 "drivers").

Dunno. I read French pretty well, so never looked for that.

 

By the way, on the pic you attached, the legend of the knob is:

Commande d'affichage du vecteur additionnel.

= Additional vector setting control.

 

The legend of the green index is:

Index mobile (vert) : route affichée PA

= moving bug (green): autopilot commanded course

 

As you see, not the same thing at all.

I've explained the VAD (vecteur additionnel / Additional vector) to Razbam team (from the very same manual), let's wait for them to implement this (relatively minor) feature.

I am waiting to finalize the radar before tackling the INS, HSI, TACAN, etc. These discrepancies will be corrected in due time.
