addictedtoplanes Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 I've been having some issues with DCS guys, and was wondering if you could help me out. I installed 1.5.2 from steam when it came out, and it ran fine for a few weeks. Then, it started crashing on startup, and I couldn't get it to run. I asked hoggit about it, and wound up uninstalling it, and installing regular 1.5.2 (not from steam), but kept having the same issue. I uninstalled it, and installed 1.5.3 when it came out, but the same thing keeps happening. Any ideas? I've added my log files and system specs. (hope that helps) Specs: i5-5200 (2.20ghz), 8 GB RAM, integrated graphics card. :helpsmilie:LastMissionTrack.rar

addictedtoplanes Posted March 5, 2016 Author Posted March 5, 2016 Hi and welcome to the forums sorry to say the integrated graphics card maybe your problem DCS requirements below I figured that the graphics card might not be up to standards, but if it wasn't, then why did it run for several weeks before this issue came up? I followed the suggestion of a hoggit user, and downgraded to 1.2 from Steam, but it won't run at all.
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted March 5, 2016 ED Team Posted March 5, 2016 If you are still getting a crash attach your fresh logs folder zipped and we will take another look. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Fiachra Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Any update on this? I have the same problem. Ran older DCS world versions no problem but have not played for a while. Installed 1.5.3 and now it always crashes on startup. I do get a windows message about the 'display driver stopped responding and has recovered successfully'. Have 8Gb RAM and a 2Gb graphics card, Intel integrated and AMD Radeon, it's one of those switchable ones that seem to cause nothing but trouble for games. I have also updated from Win7 to 10 (64bit) in the meantime.

IIRC AMD Cut Support for anything Pre GCN1.1 , So 6000 Series and Older need to use a specific Driver). Fiachra Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Thanks for the suggestion, installed the legacy driver (Crimson something or other) that covers my card but still have the same problem. I meet all the minimum specs as far as I can see and never had a problem with DCS World pre 1.5 or pre windows 10 so cannot even be sure which is the culprit.
