Bearfoot Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 So, the player heli is sitting on a ramp, hot, surrounded by other (static) units of the same type. I can set the heading (facing/direction) of the static units. But how do I set the one of the player unit (in degrees), so that it is oriented the same as the static units?
Apache600 Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 If it's on a "parking spot" you unfortunately can't set the initial heading. And the only way to set the heading in Flight is to give it a waypoint to head towards. But good to know. Thanks!
159th_Falcon Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 The initial heading is (i believe) based on wind direction. At least when starting on a farp, so if that's the case you could try changing the wind direction. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] The keeper of all mathematical knowledge and the oracle of flight modeling.:)
Grimes Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 And to add there aren't many parking spots on either map that change the orientation of the spawning aircraft depending on wind. If they do change its basically to point in the shortest viable taxi route to get to the runway. Come to think of it as far as airbases go Creech and Groom Lake might be the only bases that do this. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.
