pappavis Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Why are there so few RSBN channels in the L-39's RSBN nav? look here http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1514733/ Only 4 airports with RSBN channels?? In the MiG-21bis there are far more, or is this the real-life situation around th kavkaz region? met vriendelijke groet, Михель "умный, спортсмен, комсомолетс" [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] [TABLE]SPECS: i9-9900K 32gigs RAM, Geforce 2070RTX, Creative XFi Fata1ity, TIR5, Valve Index & HP Reverb, HOTAS Warthog, Logitech G933 Headset, 10Tb storage.[/TABLE]
Vedexent Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 I wonder if the process used to add RSBN for the MiG-21bis found here could be adapted.
Paradox Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 If I understand the situation fully the MiG-21 implementation isn't exactly perfect since it has some locations that don't actually have RSBN transmitters. I think the L-39 is supposed to have more accurate locations.
gospadin Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 L-39 (and DCS in general) is setup with "correct/modern" RSBN stations. Leatherneck did their own private nav system with the MiG-21bis, that uses custom data files. The LN system has RSBN at just about every airport. Tarres compiled a list of historical RSBN stations. I was thinking of adding them to my Extra Beacons mod, but haven't had the chance yet. Tarres Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 In addition you can use the manual mode of the RSBN system. In the NTTR, without RSBN stations, with the use of the manual mode you can fly and navigate with a reasonable error margin.
kobac Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 It seems that every third developer has its own landing system (for RSBN/PRMG). LN first developed this system in DCSW, if I remember correctly. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]Everything is possible ...
Tarres Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 ED has the RSBN and PRMG systems implemented in the LUA scripts from BS1 onwards, alongside with the VOR, PAR, ILSN, NDB, TACAN...
