Why are there so few RSBN channels in the L-39's RSBN nav?

look here http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1514733/

Only 4 airports with RSBN channels?? In the MiG-21bis there are far more, or is this the real-life situation around th kavkaz region?

met vriendelijke groet,

Михель

If I understand the situation fully the MiG-21 implementation isn't exactly perfect since it has some locations that don't actually have RSBN transmitters.

I think the L-39 is supposed to have more accurate locations.

L-39 (and DCS in general) is setup with "correct/modern" RSBN stations.

Leatherneck did their own private nav system with the MiG-21bis, that uses custom data files. The LN system has RSBN at just about every airport.

Tarres compiled a list of historical RSBN stations. I was thinking of adding them to my Extra Beacons mod, but haven't had the chance yet.

In addition you can use the manual mode of the RSBN system.

In the NTTR, without RSBN stations, with the use of the manual mode you can fly and navigate with a reasonable error margin.

It seems that every third developer has its own landing system (for RSBN/PRMG). LN first developed this system in DCSW, if I remember correctly.
