Davee Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 (edited) Hi Guys, Just updated and tested landing approach and touchdown. I've repeated this twice and same results. Touching down, with all the HUD symbols right on the button and at 14 degrees, and then applying airbrakes just after the wheels touch, the nose starts to climb to the point of dragging the tail. The nose will also not respond to forward stick input to force the nose down until the speed slows. (This nose up did not happen before unless my AOA well exceeded 14 degrees) Then it starts to wander left or right before I can get the nosewheel down to start braking. Note: I have disabled dissimilar wheel braking so both wheels brake at the same time and in this case, the wandering starts before wheel braking. I love to rest on the grass but not in my aircraft twice in a row. :) Can someeone else verify this? Thanks, Cats . . . Edited March 11, 2016 by Catseye
gospadin Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 I have the same behavior. Touched down at 13 degrees, then the tail was dragging shortly after. Plane veered off to the left, no brakes applied. no wind in the mission My liveries, mods, and missions for DCS:World M-2000C English Cockpit | Extra Beacons Mod | Nav Kneeboard | Community A-4E
dannyq8 Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 I'm seeing the same behaviour Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools because they have to say something. Plato
Davee Posted March 11, 2016 Author Posted March 11, 2016 Odd, did dozens of landings this week with no issues. I'm looking into it now. EDIT: Okay I see, it doesn't appear to be pronounced in Nevada possibly due to the higher pressure altitudes which is where I do most of my development testing but I definitely see it in the 1.5.3 you guys are flying. I'll see what I find to be the cause, I have some ideas, for now it can be avoided by applying slight forward stick pressure... It is really nice to know that RAZBAM see these posts and pro-actively look into issues right from the get-go. I wasn't sure at the point of my post as to whether it is a bug or not and had to request if anyone else was seeing the same thing before I retested and put in a bug report. CptSmiley pre-empted that right from the top. Simply outstanding!!:thumbup: Cats . . .

rrohde Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Same here... Shouldn't the FBW system handle this automatically? Davee Posted March 12, 2016 Author Posted March 12, 2016 Yes it is and made a number of corrections to it today we'll be trying out. Once again, apologies a lot of FBW related fixes came in this latest updated and this odd landing response was a victim of those updates but these latest changes look really good now :) Thanks for keep an eye out for this stuff, I'm honestly not sure how I didn't notice it except to say I was probably evaluating something else that it just went over my head! Thanks for the feedback. No need to apologize as this is beta and things happen during the process. Back in the day I beta tested Falcon4 and the original Flanker and adjustments were similar then and probably will remain for the future in any development process. It feels good to have caught it at this time. Cheers
haffende Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Hey Captain Smiley...while you are looking at the landing issues in 1.5.3 update 1 please can you also look at the take off in 2.0.....plane still has this tendency to veer left. To be honest no matter what you do on the runway taking off, landing, braking, in all versions, the plane naturally wants to veer left for some reason. This issue was made much better, but not quite resolved, in 1.5.3 Stable...but the mods never seemed to make it to the last release of 2.0. Thanks for all your support.
