lazduc Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 I would like to see a list of Titles and versions of all ED's and 3rd party modules that are considered "Out of Beta". :D I do not want to have to repair new builds/versions etc. I do not have time nor do I want to spend time trying to get software to run correctly. :music_whistling: If ED releases a upgrade to a title that is out of beta then I would think that upgrade release would not introduce bugs. Since the 3rd party developers submit their products to ED so ED can iron out any bugs that may conflict with ED's latest version of World, one would be confident that releases would be bug free....mostly. So it appears until DCS World/Edge is stable then all modules are at the mercy of this. Your thoughts and possible titles/version numbers/1.5xxxx/2.0xx that are stable and do not require repairing or continual fixes.....other than a upgrade that will be stable...upgrade meaning more and better content and perhaps a few minor bug fixes that have somehow slipped through.:smilewink: :D Laz
Sryan Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 The store already shows wich modules are out of beta and wich are not. DCS is going through some turbulence alright as it proceeds to 2.0. If you don't want to deal with any hassles along the way you can always grab the stable version that only gets updated once every few months and should be nearly bug-free. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/world/stable/ Also ED doesn't iron anyone's bugs out but their own. They'll probably help here and there and stuff. But ultimatly the state a module is in is controlled by the developers who made that specific module. Check my F-15C guide
NeilWillis Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 So, the ones out of Beta, are the ones not currently Beta.

The only two differences between beta modules and "stable" ones is that new bugs as well as patches appear less often on the stable ones and they are considered feature complete. I don't really see what kind of trouble beta versions should cause you? The patches are all applied automatically by the auto updater as part of the regular DCS updates which you download anyways. There is no need to do extra work like repairing or something like that for the user. Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
