I must be missing something so minor and i cant figure it out.

I cannot get helios to work with the F-15, A-10c works perfectly.

i've used the export file by itself that came from Captz.

well.

If things arent working with the combined exports...

 

1. Install the default script for helios

2. Download the latest dcs remote. It has automatic script installation built in the first time you launch it... That hopefully does it :S.

 

dcs remote just appends the current export.lua with a dofile for dcs remote, if it isnt already there

I know i should be asking Captz these questions, but if i use the script that he provided and placed in the proper space i get no response from helios.

 

I was hoping there is a simple fix like Flame gave me in the teamspeak - to use notepad instead of notepad++ for editing the json file.

I think you guys just accidentally added something with notepad++ :).

It's just a standard json file and I use ++ myself.

no matter what number i used for the X value of placement worked with ++.

 

the second i started using regular notepad it worked perfect. not sure what both of us could have entered that was extra to mess it up-lol

 

i'm hoping to be in TS later tonight if your around to chat about Helios.

Does anyone where I can go to find how to translate Directx buttons into a key command?

 

There are so many tools that can do this I've lost count. Google joy2key, Xpadder, etc. Also know that Helios and TARGET can do this as well. Personally, I perfer using Helios as I find it very flexible to integrate the key mappings with my Helios profiles.

Sobe, you and I spent alot of time on Leavu2 getting it to work with Helios,, weeks! Are you settled in now and have this working? Im inspired by the fantastic upgrades, but I dont have weeks to go thru hell to figure out what has to be done to make this work in the end.I;ll jumo in the pool if I get the feeling that the install process to work with helios wont be as difficult? Thanks

hey Yoda i got the mod working but i wanted to have the leavu screen always on top of my dcs game screen So i went in the file where it says " always on top : false" and i made it true but still once i start the game it doesnt want to stay on top , i always have to alt tab to see it , any idea ? i dont have a second monitor .

L3 is much easier to use than L2. No more L2 for me. L3 works fine with Helios. Just read my post number 56 or 57 above.

 

I made the text in L3 larger and when in the air, I made the displays larger so I can see them better.

 

Goodbye to L2.

ok, did you happen to uninstall any files you created for use with Leavu2 prior to installing Leavu3?

I have not uninstalled anything involving L2, but I use JSGME to install the files for L2 when I need them so L2 is still on my computer but not in use.

You have to run windowed mode if you want to use leavu as an overlay. Uncheck "full screen" in options and set your resolution fake fullscreen/full screen windowed

 

You can use CTL SHF Home/End to bring on top/set behind

  • Otherwise anyone can run any lua script inside your DCS game ..
    
  • This is 12340 by default - do NOT expose/forward/open this port online!
    

  I dont understand alot of what I have read in the readme file on this? Is this a matter of me accessing my router and configuring this port in some manner? Or is this all done via script implementation that I dont have a handle on? AND, I am not using any remote PC's, just 2 monitors on same PC, one for main screen and the other is a touch screen for Helios where Leavu3 will also be overlayed on. Thanks for any help

Your router. Unless you explicitly open the ports yourself in your router or enable some kind of DMZ setting - it isnt open. But some people tend to do just that - enable DMZ, which is a potentially BIG security problem.

That isnt going to work. Simply because leavu3 uses several native libraries for graphics and audio (Desktop LibGdx libraries).

 

If you really want leavu3 running on android, your best bet is to do a proper android port - Since it's built on libgdx this shouldn't be very hard if you got android dev experience (I don't).
