Hello,

considering that all new modules (and even the oldest one - Ka-50) from ED have a virtual pilot in the cockpit, wouldn't it be the case to add it also to the A-10C?

Why is it that the only 2 modern american airplanes in the sim (A-10 and F-15) are missing virtual pilots, where all the russian ones have it? ( I am talking about ED modules).

Thanks

I am sure it will happen in the future, having your own body in vr helps with the experience.

I would assume it is just a matter of time and resources for ED, and they are very busy at the moment.

Glad to see you are sure! Doesn't seem like a huge task but I'm sure ED have their hands full with all the products in the pipeline. Still, a little attention to keep the older modules up to standard would always be very welcome, especially considering the A-10 is still the flagship DCS module

This is something I'm still not sure why it's not a standard across the modules. Either they should all have it or not. It's a pretty easy thing to implement, too. Hopefully in the future the missing ones will be updated.

The problem with this is that the pilot will obscure many things in the cockpit. If you look at a number of cockpit videos you will see that the pilots knees are often obscuring things. His elbows and arms will be obscuring things. In the real world the pilot can move his arms and legs to see things obscured by them, but that would add a whole bunch of unnatural controls for us. With TrackIR you can I suppose lean your head around to look around the pilots legs/arms/hands.

Personally I just think it's a childish feature that might impress kids with big imaginations but personally I would find it a gimmicky and silly bubble gum feature.

That's why there's a toggle to turn the pilot on/off. It's silly to be flying in an empty cockpit with the controls moving themselves.
