Jorgensen Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 I wonder if some of you are doing complete missions in vr? I ask course I wonder if it's possible to do, as I find it a bit hard to do. One example is reading the communications menu. I wish I could change the position of the menu, to make it readable, or even better is should follow the view. I really do injoy cockpit in vr :-) Thanks Jorgensen

Jorgensen Posted April 17, 2016 Author Posted April 17, 2016 Ups sorry - i use oculus DK2. I wonder what kind of mods people use? Thanks
DerekSpeare Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 I'm sure some folks are doing complete missions. I mostly test myself and freefly. The communications menu, however, is impossible to use with VR. It's really an example of one of those glaring deficiencies that need improvement. So far, though, it's still the same. I think some people are using a third party voice command utility that can drive the comms. I can't recall it, but someone will note it. _Acoustic_ Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Voice attack is what I use. I honestly have no idea how anyone can fly without it, especially in VR. It is a must, best $8 upgrade to your sim expirence period.
Enduro14 Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 I've done many mission and many hour sessions on the 104th server and others with the dk2. Search the forums their is numerous ways to make the text larger so you can read it even in the dk2. Intel 8700k @5ghz, 32gb ram, 1080ti, Rift S
Frusheen Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 You can use Viacom for the radios. See the thread in the input and output section of the forum. An alternative is a third party mod which allows you to increase the size of the font and its location on the screen. __________________________________________________Win 10 64bit | i7 7700k delid @ 5.1gHz | 32Gb 3466mhz TridentZ memory | Asus ROG Apex motherboard | Asus ROG Strix 1080Ti overclocked Komodosim Cyclic | C-tek anti torque pedals and collective | Warthog stick and throttle | Oculus Rift CV1 | KW-908 Jetseat | Buttkicker with Simshaker for Aviators RiftFlyer VR G-Seat project: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2733051#post2733051

Jorgensen Posted April 17, 2016 Author Posted April 17, 2016 thanks everyone :-) i wonder - do you only use voice attack for controls that can't be done by mouse - or only the ones that makes 'sense' - like the comms menu - that is impossible to see in vr? i will search for viacom - thanks frusheen
_Acoustic_ Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 For DCS just comms, but for space sims it makes sense to have more mapped to vocal commands.
