I just was in a MP mission with 1.5 and found that the nav lights do not work without the stub-wings on. In a single player mission in 1.5, the nav lights work without the stub-wings. Maybe that could be the case in 2.0 as well because I normally do not fly with the stub-wings attached. I'll do some more checking and report back.

^ I can confirm lights work in 2.0.2 SP when operating without wings.

I must be doing something wrong then. I can get the tail light to come on, but no red or green lights. With stub wings on, no problem. This is SP in 2.0.2

Isn't that the problem, though? If you don't fit the wings the ANO nav lights in the front fuselage get used. The additional armour which happens to be bolted on right there means you don't see the lights anymore.

If you have armor plates installed and pylons removed, then plates wil block ANO lights on the nose of the helicopter. So, that's not a bug.

I don't believe that this is correct. In some versions, the Navigation lights have worked with the hard points removed and they are clearly visible on the armor plates. You can also see where the Nav lights are supposed to be on the armor plates. It is clearly a minor bug, but a bug nevertheless. I am confident that it will be fixed some day.

The armour plate has a clear hole in it where the navigation lights should be

Guys, this is not a bug )) I've asked same question in russian section of the forum long time ago. Devs said that it's because of armor plates. And yes, look closely, those holes are for antenas of "Izdeliye 6201" ( little white dots ) )) So, everything is fine.

P.S. Remove armor plates and stub wings so you can see ANO lights and antenas together )

That is apparent now that you point it out however, it doesn't make sense that the Russians would make the a/c unsafe to fly at night with the armor plates installed and the hard points removed. I guess the only explanation might be that the armored plates would only be installed when the hard points were attached. Oh well, bug or not, it's still very minor regardless of what it is! :pilotfly:

Actually new types of armor plates have ANO lights attached on them ) e.g. this Polish Hip.
