Capn kamikaze Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 The training mission says to turn the knob on the radar altimeter, but it doesn't seem to do anything and the yellow box does not go away, is this me or a bug?
Mt5_Roie Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Are you talking about the knob at the top right or the switch at the bottom left? The button left switch is just on/off/test. Once in on the flag should go away. Coder - Oculus Rift Guy - Court Jester
LcSummers Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 I have no problem, works fine here. Prost Mahlzeit
Capn kamikaze Posted April 29, 2016 Author Posted April 29, 2016 Bottom left, it has the icon for rotation, but it seems to act like a push button.
Mt5_Roie Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Yeah...when it's active the flag at the bottom of the gauge should go away. Coder - Oculus Rift Guy - Court Jester
Capn kamikaze Posted April 30, 2016 Author Posted April 30, 2016 Well it doesn't seem to be doing that, the yellow box stays there, the button icon is for a knob rather than a button, and the button seems to do nothing.
NeilWillis Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 It is a rotary knob, turn it clockwise to switch on the radio altimeter, and then the knob on the upper right side of the instrument to set the altitude warning caret to the desired minimum altitude. The button you describe does indeed do nothing because it is a knob.
flyingscotsman Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 (edited) Regarding the Attitude indicator I held the button as asked one part moved/worked but the artificial horizen never moved, ended up flying with it tilted and unresponsive, probably error on my part will try again probably tomorrow, trying the tutorial before I go to work, really gentle inputs but I got it off the ground and very close to the ground on landing.....before I screwed up and bent it. LOVELY sim Thanks Edited April 30, 2016 by flyingscotsman spelling error
Capn kamikaze Posted April 30, 2016 Author Posted April 30, 2016 I've managed to get it working, but it seems to be not acting like a knob, if you click it it presses in like a button, I found just by randomly bashing it (random LMB, RMB presses) I got it to work, but it seems a bit clunky.... If you're on about the backup ADI flyingscotsman, you have to hold down the button and turn your mousewheel and look carefully you will see horizontal markers move up and down as you do, then release when you are happy, the main one you just hold until it settles down.

Aginor Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Oh, by the way: What's the black and yellow lever next to the rotor brake for? It isn't implemented so I guess it isn't something important, I'd just like to know. :) DCSW weapons cheat sheet speed cheat sheet

Aginor Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 I also read the manual in the meantime. (thanks anyway :) ) I just wonder: What is the reason why it isn't implemented? DCSW weapons cheat sheet speed cheat sheet
