marcelbrabson Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 I've been out of the loop for awhile due to a major illness. I suffer from some memory loss. I'm wondering if there's anyone who can tell me where I can get some formation training. I'd really appreciate it. FireFox500 Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Am I only one here who is finding this question a bit odd? No, you most definitely aren't, this seems very strange to me. I don't think it means anything but yeah, I find it rather bizarre. 1 PC Specs: i7 4790 (non K), MSI GTX 980, 1TB Seagate HDD, 32GB Crucial DDR3-1600MHz RAM, 3 Samsung 1920x1080 monitors, EVGA 850W G2 PSU

marcelbrabson Posted May 28, 2016 Author Posted May 28, 2016 Odd Am I only one here who is finding this question a bit odd? Why in God's name would you find my question odd? Obviously you've never been in the military. Because if you had you would know that the only dumb question is the one that you don't ask. Furthermore if you don't have any positive feedback. Please don't respond to my post. i have not the time nor the inclination for childish crap. Transmission Ends. marcelbrabson Posted May 28, 2016 Author Posted May 28, 2016 Thanks man. If they knew anything about true military flying they would know that you can't be away from it for awhile and still be proficient. It's not like riding a bike. I've been a real world pilot for 30 years now. So when you've accumulated as many real world flight as I have talk to then. Until such time stay out of grown folks business. This is exactly why I hate to post on this forum. Robert31178 Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 "......you can't be away from it for awhile and still be proficient. It's not like riding a bike" I'm not a pilot, but I ran lifeboats for 10 years out of Cape Disappointment and Grays Harbor. I can't tell you the number of times I watched fellow Surfmen dip out on training because the weather wasn't "exciting" enough, then they'd go out at the end of the recert period to grab some hours and do their recerts....gosh what a rodeo lol. I learned early on from watching them do this when I was a break in boat driver and thought "man, people depend on you when the shit gets serious" and vowed to always be underway so not to be rusty when called out for a serious case. Also because of that I always told new boat drivers that boat driving is a perishable skill, you need to constantly be doing this or you will not be able to perform as you should when it counts. I hope you found some good training materials. If not sound off and I can provide some links to some good stuff. ~S
