matbog Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 This my first post on Ed forum so: Hi guys!!!:baby: I am a french simmer and with the new Mirage 2000 from Razbam i wanted to build a 2000C cockpit. I contacted the EALC association (http://www.ealc.fr/) who restores some military french aircraft and his president kindly allows me to spend an entire afternoon in the cockpit of his Mirage 2000B whose front place is the same than the one of the Mirage 2000C. So I took some pictures and measurements and here it is :https://goo.gl/photos/LrhustESFDuX2LaR8 I unfortunately miss some measurements but...anyway. I hope to see more and more 2000 cockpit in the future  1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] My Mirage 2000C Pit construction 3D model of a Mirage 2000C Cockpit 3D model of a Martin Baker Mk10
Cripple Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 Thanks for that. I've never had a good look at the inside of a Mirage before... Oh, someone better point out to the Americans that those dimensions are in millimetres. :P My *new* AV-8B sim-pit build thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3901589 The old Spitfire sim-pit build thread circa '16/17: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=143452
matbog Posted May 28, 2016 Author Posted May 28, 2016 Oh yes, good point, I forgot this detail, it is millimeters :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] My Mirage 2000C Pit construction 3D model of a Mirage 2000C Cockpit 3D model of a Martin Baker Mk10
hansangb Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 Oh yes, good point, I forgot this detail, it is millimeters :) We don't want another Mars Obiter do we? :D Can you just imagine the engineering team when they realized what happened it? It's laughable (but really isn't). 1 hsb HW Spec in Spoiler --- i7-10700K Direct-To-Die/OC'ed to 5.1GHz, MSI Z490 MB, 32GB DDR4 3200MHz, EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3, NVMe+SSD, Win 10 x64 Pro, MFG, Warthog, TM MFDs, Komodo Huey set, Rverbe G1
X93355 Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 Nice photos Matbog. The 2000 cockpit is quite cosy by the looks of it, almost as cosy as an A4. And a Mirage F1 in the corner of the hanger as well so I am sure someone is probably going to touch base with you soon :) InWin S Frame with Asus Z170 | i7-6700K @ 4.5 Water Cooled CPU and Graphics | 16GB DDR4 | GTX1070 | 240GB M.2 SSD | Warthog Hotas | MFG Crosswind | 40" Samsung 4K | CV1 | Replica MB Mk10 Ejection Seat with Gametrix 908
matbog Posted May 31, 2016 Author Posted May 31, 2016 Thanks X93355. For those who are interrested I share my 3D modelisation on Onshape https://www.onshape.com/ All you have to do is register and find my project by typing "Tableau de bord Mirage 2000C" (which means Mirage 2000C dashboard in french ;)) in the search field. For those who are not so much interested here is a picture. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] My Mirage 2000C Pit construction 3D model of a Mirage 2000C Cockpit 3D model of a Martin Baker Mk10
Mr_Burns Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Hey mate there is a Mirage gate guardian in Adelaide, Aussies seem pretty laid back about stuff that isn't American (fkin ITAR). I dont really know what models they operated but I do know a few people who may be able to get me access or (Australia is a big place ;-) ) get someone I know where there is a variant you are after into the cockpit. I dont know if I can but happy to try if you can find any info on where ex aussie mirages are.
matbog Posted May 31, 2016 Author Posted May 31, 2016 Thanks a lot for your proposal Mr_Burns, it is very kind of you. I will let you know if I need any help. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] My Mirage 2000C Pit construction 3D model of a Mirage 2000C Cockpit 3D model of a Martin Baker Mk10

matbog Posted June 5, 2016 Author Posted June 5, 2016 (edited) I just discovered that there is no need to register to Onshape to see the 3D model, just click here: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/409d0213bc745f590aff401e/w/1e61ca9434e43d94050f5730/e/62977e51d210b423c703e0e7 Edited June 23, 2016 by matbog [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] My Mirage 2000C Pit construction 3D model of a Mirage 2000C Cockpit 3D model of a Martin Baker Mk10
frogger Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Mate this is great info will the 3d model be able to be 3d printed ?
matbog Posted June 6, 2016 Author Posted June 6, 2016 I don't know what is needed to be 3D printable so...i cant tell you. Sorry [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] My Mirage 2000C Pit construction 3D model of a Mirage 2000C Cockpit 3D model of a Martin Baker Mk10
frogger Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 ive used your measurements to make a quick mock up today , at first i thought there was some mistake as i felt like i was making a miniture aircraft but after looking at some footage and pictures i see the cockpit is tiny. so now ill need to source a 22inch lcd monitor for helios and that should handle the whole mip cheers again
matbog Posted June 7, 2016 Author Posted June 7, 2016 Yes it is really small indeed!!! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] My Mirage 2000C Pit construction 3D model of a Mirage 2000C Cockpit 3D model of a Martin Baker Mk10
Lobinjaevel Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 @frogger You can export the parts as .stl files, those are 3d printable. I use onshape to make my panels, you will probably need to cut the parts up to pieces though as most of them are to large for your average printer.
VR-Hunter Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 Thank you. I been thinking also about Mirage home cockpit. That is really helpful.
dimebug Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 based on the pictures, i've maid this today (only 3D rendering..). 1
RAZBAM_ELMO Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 Looking great man. It will be interesting to see how this turns out. dimebug Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 i maid it just for fun, no cockpit project yet, at least for myself.
