Communication of co-pilot/RIO - important idea for multicrew plane/copter

Hello,

 

We have more and more airplanes or copters for DCS with two or more than two crew.

 

But I feel like they are like "silent and unnecessary rock".

 

It's unrealistic and no feeling here the core of combat task like in RL in multicrew plane/copter.

 

Please (ED) think about this also to add short (repeated) messages from other crew, especially second pilot.

For example:

 

- RWR (if we have turn on) - warnings about the type and direction of danger (for example every 3-5 minutes)

 

- spoting/noticing enemy in the air (info)

 

- spoting/noticing enemy on the ground (info)

 

- fire for us missile, guns (warnings, direction)

 

- other like general info: "airborn", "ready to take off", "full flaps" ect.

It will be more real than now with this idea.

 

It could be for F-14 A/B, SA342M, L-39C/ZA, Mi-8MTV2, C-101, Hawk, UH-1H and future multicrew adddons.

 

DCS was started with planes only for the one crew, now the subject was changed ; ). Regards.

LNS is working on an extended RIO system for their F-14. In case of SP it will feature an advanced RIO-AI called Jester AI which will be fully voiced and player interaction will be possible by the use of an easy to use GUI (maybe a radial menu or something like that). The RIO will also be fully voiced and do stuff like heavy breathing in high G turns to increase immersion.

This would be especially great for sighting targets and reporting incoming fire.
