OnlyforDCS Posted June 10, 2017 Posted June 10, 2017 (edited) This is not my video, but it looks pretty similar The aircraft starts to shake, and then more and more. As I said, I will upload later a video with F5E Ok that particular problem is directly related to a faulty Potentiometer or "pot" for short being bound to one of the zoom axis functions. This is why I don't have any pots (rotaries) bound to the zoom axis and instead use keys, or rather hat switches. Lenux Posted June 10, 2017 Author Posted June 10, 2017 (edited) Are those potentiometers on the HOTAS or on the joystick? I have a faulty potentiometer on my HOTAS, but I don't use it at all But last week I tried to play with Thrustmaster 16000,same issue ( with Bf 109) By the way : I'm using X55 Saitek but I'd like to replace it Should I get the Thrustmaster Warthog? i have no pedals Are they any good, actually? Thank you Edited June 10, 2017 by Lenux I9 12900k@ 5 GHz | 32 GB DDR4 | Asus ROG Strix Z690-A Gaming Wifi d4| RTX 3090 | 6 TB SSD + 8 TB HDD | 4K Samsung Q90R 55" | VKB MK III PRO L | Virpil Throttle MONGOOST-50 | MFG Crosswind | TrackIR5
OnlyforDCS Posted June 10, 2017 Posted June 10, 2017 (edited) Check your Zoom axis binds in the options. Remove all the bindings in all columns (for all the controllers) and then recheck whether you still have the problem. Lenux Posted June 10, 2017 Author Posted June 10, 2017 (edited) If I remove all the bindings, i can't fly, i can't test I'd like to play / test, only with the keyboard, but I don't know how Would you please explain how to do this? I can't assign the pitch, roll, yaw, for the keyboard. Already tried that Thank you Edited June 10, 2017 by Lenux I9 12900k@ 5 GHz | 32 GB DDR4 | Asus ROG Strix Z690-A Gaming Wifi d4| RTX 3090 | 6 TB SSD + 8 TB HDD | 4K Samsung Q90R 55" | VKB MK III PRO L | Virpil Throttle MONGOOST-50 | MFG Crosswind | TrackIR5
OnlyforDCS Posted June 10, 2017 Posted June 10, 2017 No don't remove all the bindings. Just remove the bindings for the "Zoom" axis function. Look under the "axis" tab, it should be there for all the aircraft. razo+r Posted June 10, 2017 Posted June 10, 2017 if you want to test if it is still the same without all mapped function, just don't plug your joystick in before you start DCS, then you can check with the keyboard. Your bindings will be back when you plug your stick back in and restart DCS
Lenux Posted June 10, 2017 Author Posted June 10, 2017 (edited) I'm home now, i will do some tests again, and i will upload a video Thanks a million LE : I removed everything with " zoom " zoom in slow zoom out slow zoom in normal zoom out normal etc Same issue. I tried without TrackIR When i start shooting the aircraft is starting to shake like Lady Gaga. LOL Edited June 10, 2017 by Lenux I9 12900k@ 5 GHz | 32 GB DDR4 | Asus ROG Strix Z690-A Gaming Wifi d4| RTX 3090 | 6 TB SSD + 8 TB HDD | 4K Samsung Q90R 55" | VKB MK III PRO L | Virpil Throttle MONGOOST-50 | MFG Crosswind | TrackIR5
Lenux Posted June 10, 2017 Author Posted June 10, 2017 (edited) Okay, i uploaded a short video Have a look, please, guys. Thank you https://ufile.io/9su3q LE : i unplugged TrackIR / joystick - HOTAS, so i tested only with the keyboard. I start shooting ( Space key ) After 3-4 seconds, the shaking issue occures. I changed the Space key with something else, same problem. What the heck should I try anymore ?? Lenux Posted June 10, 2017 Author Posted June 10, 2017 Back again, i did some other testings. I removed EVERYTHING, and then I remapped only those : SPACE - for shooting LEFT arrow RIGHT arrow UP arrow DOWN arrow ESC That's it. No mouse, no TRACKIR, no joystick - HOTAS. So, if there is a conflict, it should be only between the up, down, right, left, space and esc :) I9 12900k@ 5 GHz | 32 GB DDR4 | Asus ROG Strix Z690-A Gaming Wifi d4| RTX 3090 | 6 TB SSD + 8 TB HDD | 4K Samsung Q90R 55" | VKB MK III PRO L | Virpil Throttle MONGOOST-50 | MFG Crosswind | TrackIR5
