El Hadji Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 I used SpaceSniffer to see if I could free some space on my system (http://www.uderzo.it/main_products/space_sniffer/index.html). I noticed that I had 7GB in the .torrents map in my DCS 2.0 install: (..\DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\_downloads\.torrents) Are these files needed to run DCS or can I safely delete them? NRG-Vampire Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 ;) by the way: may i delete remained files in the _downloads folder ??? there are plenty torrent folders and files - i guess the next update wont use those files sure. in the near future the updater will ask to clean up those. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2645979&postcount=10
AtaliaA1 Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 If you can some time in the future get an external storage device.] I lost 4Gigs of music when a drive died because I didn't back it up. jd_jay Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 In the post that Vampire linked, it says that in the near future the updater will ask to clean up the .torrent files. Nearly 12 months on, this still isn't the case, is it still safe to delete the files in the /downloads/.torrets folder manually without any issues. They are the culprit of my disk defray taking many hours due to sheer size. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Raven434th Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 (edited) Its 2020 and I'm wondering the same question...why is this not being cleaned? I just deleted 3.8 gig btw from that folder.
