That's from the asp. Knob on bottom left corner on the side of the sight facing to the left controls the brightness

Oh c'mon. It's there even when nothing in the airplane is powered up :D. Not a major issue, though.

I absolutely love the new FM in regards to takeoff and landing. Takeoffs are so smooth and the aircraft is very pitch stable. Landings are the same (although I do fewer of those :music_whistling:)

I imagine the fuel burn is correct, but this thing is extremely thirsty, and has been for the last couple months. Full internal + centerline gets me to 10,000M and M2.0 with only 2,000L left. I barely have enough gas to RTB :pilotfly:

It is an interceptor after all. Normally when you take off you're given a direct gci vector so you can burn and get there asap. Not really meant as a cap station aircraft.

Know and use all the capabilities in your airplane. If you don't, sooner or later, some guy who does use them all will kick your ass.

Thank you for answer.

Interior sounds are very good. I think that every user is very satisfied. External noise would be a good exchange for real. The module is excellent and deserves better roar of the engine.

Cobra, if we're on the subject of sounds - I understand from posts in the old threads, that the MiG must use stock DCS samples for its weapon systems. It is an old story, but is there a programming reason why internal gun cannot use the same samples as the UPK-23 pods?

Although I don't consider current sample used for internal gun a gamebreaker, I wouldn't mind if it was the same as UPK sample, because the latter sounds like an actual GSh-23, while the former does not.

Anyone still getting the engine start up sound everyone they launch a missile or is that just me?

You could always switch the internal with the upk and make a mod out of it.

Last night, I installed DCS world 1.5 and reinstall my Mig-21.

When switch, I can not hear the sound of switches.

Do I need adjust any setting?

And, scratches on canopy. I can see them when I purchased Mig-21, but it has been long time I can not see those scratches when I look to the sun direction.

Do I need adjust any setting ? to get those scratches back?

Appreciat!

Yes subscribed. The sound in the cockpit. The motor operates at afterburner.Po firing missiles will sound to restart the engine. In previous versions, there was no problem with sound.

If I could I would :D. There are no weapon-related .sdef files in MiG-21 folder, so the only way to change this sound now seems to be replacing default DCS PlaneCannon.wav and PlaneEnd.wav. It will work only for external view, and will also affect all other vehicles using these samples - not the best solution.

Whatever controls weapon sounds in the MiG seems to be hardcoded somewhere deeper, hence my question.

Hello

I look into the files LN MiG-21bis. Here, I listen to the sounds of aircraft. These sounds are very realistic. External sounds taxiing, landing, afterburner, etc. Here, the path to these files with sound. Here :

DCSWorld\CoreMods\aircraft\MiG-21BIS\Sounds\Effects\Aircrafts\MiG-21\Engines

DCSWorld\Mods\aircraft\MIG-21bis\Sounds\Effects\Aircrafts\MiG-21\Engines

For what reason, we use the default sound from the main directory DCS WORLD ????? This is a bug or intention ???? Here :

No ED patch, no LNS patch.

I think PSO-10 was improved greatly recently. MiG-21 locking MiG-21 from rear did not produce standard boring all 4 flashing state but instead variable blinking vs. range with rear 2 lights. Very promising.

Literally, just have to wait til tomorrow to see if we get patched up. I'm really hoping for these fixes to hit, soon.

This means that if the Mig-21 is locked from the rear side, all four lights lit, but only the two rear? I did not notice.

Repair radar and ASO-2 is required.

A friend locked me in multiplayer with MiG-21. At far distance the lights flash-beep slowly and less range it flash-beeps more rapid. I did not test all threat radars at all aspect and ranges.

To repair:

RP-22SMA

ARK-10

PRMG

RSBN

SAU

Weapons select

ASP-PFD-21

SORC

etc.

ASO-2 is attached to SPS-141. What is attached directly to plane is not ASO-2 but something else entirely. I know the bug is not really related to its exact identity.

Why do you think the Ark prmg rsbn and sau need work? They function normally and in parameters to me.

I don't have the desire to go into detail now but they aren't.

Fundamentally the SAU input is additive. When you press the "recover" button the pilot should still have input (in several cases it is encouraged) and if you pull too much on the stick the SAU will abort the recovery process. That's not at all how it works now.

SAU should be able to hold level bank angle hands off with for example one missile in stabilization mode. I'm sure you've noticed there's no manual aileron trim switch. We should be flying a vast majority of our missions almost exclusively in stabilization mode and it should make a big difference.

Yes, I agree the problem with radar and sau I stated **Leatherneck Public bugtracker** issues are resolved. Why not coming update?

Module updates only can ride along with patches. No 3rd party developer publishes patches directly (exception: the occasional one-file hotfix). Instead the working version is kept available to ED and is included on autopilot every official update.

So the fix has to happen, then that fix has to be in a publishable version at a time when ED publishes a patch. There is also a relatively high rate of "we forgot to include it" or "ED grabbed the wrong files" happening to all modules.

The dates where patches are published by ED is up to ED. It's on a semi-regular schedule usually alternating between OA and OB/Release versions.

Posted

I think ED should consider a midweek hotfix or patch day for the third parties.

We have 6 third parties. That's 7 developers involved, total. That's nice, it gives us several POVs. However, 6 depend on 1 when it comes to patches.

Having a mid-week update would help immensely as the fixes going in and probably a great deal more than a hotfix.

Nicely written. wait, wait, wait. I do not understand why improvements simulator is divided into many updates 1.5.2, 1.5.3, 1.5.4, 1.5.5 followed around. etc. What's the point? The module updates do not work. Permanent repairs and waiting for a working module. Honestly ... what has changed since the update 1.2.16 update to 1.5.4 ???? Only bugs in modules. When the issue DCSW 2.0 Nevada, why not issue DCSW 2.0 Caucasus. ? What is the problem? This whole theater is just business. Mainly shop. Other published simulators operate without patches and waiting for something to come maybe ever.

DCS World possesses ambition like no other flight sim in my recollection, to be fair. Pandora's Box has been thoroughly opened and DCS isn't even ED's primary concern.
