knellknell Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Yes, thank you very much for the release of this wonderfull plugin and other utilitys.:thumbup::thumbup: But... I've imported my models in the game without any problem. They are ( i think ) great in the game and works well. But no animations........ :( Is the animations may should follow certains conventions (IE name of mobil parts in the original 3ds file ) I've try also all arguments in loviewer but nothings works... I'm a quiet bit desapointed..... But once again THANK YOU !!!!! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Pilotasso Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 This is only usefull to replace old low detail models. I doubt we will actualy add new aircraft at all. .
knellknell Posted September 8, 2006 Author Posted September 8, 2006 Sorry but i dont understand you opinion ..... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
SuperKungFu Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 I agree with Pilotasso, this plugin is only good for replacing old models, which is good because that's what the community should focus on...replacing the old models. If you want to add new aircrafts, for example your 2 new models knellknell, you have to replace an existing aircraft. that means the cockpit is wrong, the FM, damaged model...etc. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Pilotasso Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Exactly what he said^^^^ We need to replace old models and concentrate on that instead of making new ones that cant be integrated per se without breaking online compatibility with people having different MODs. The Plugins were a good thing but we let it get over our heads, and so far no one has realy donne any work for anything usefull that can stay ingame but aircraft transvestization or flying sawcers etc. .
SuperKungFu Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 yea exactly, a lot of weird things with the UFO and stuff. Although its all good fun, we need to start looking for people who will make the models currently in the game. Especially push up our current flyable models. Strikemax is working on the Su-27 for example. I believe Malignant will probably venture to a new F-15 model (i hope). The MiG-29 is ok for now, but if someone wants to model it that would be cool. The A-10 needs a facelift, and probably spinning engines won't hurt. And the original Su-25 needs a little work to match up to its brother Su-25T. As for going for AI models, that's fine but we usually blow those planes out of the sky before we see them so its not really wise to go there. I would like to see the community to focus on the objects we see the most in the game. Like the flyables, aircraft carrier, tankers, AWACS...etc. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
LazerPotatoe Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Freedom I'm sure people will do what they want. You'll get your fighter upgrades, but let people be creative. You don't have to install mods that you don't like. Don't fear the UFO -- LOL:megalol: Respectfully, LP LP modules: F5-E / A4-E / A-10A / AJS-37 / SA-342 / UH-1H / Ka-50 / Mi-8 / CA would buy: OH-58 /AH-64A / AH-1 / Sepecat Jaguar / F-111
ED Team Glowing_Amraam Posted September 9, 2006 ED Team Posted September 9, 2006 Hey, lets make an Independence Day mod! :D Replace the jets with those from the movie hehe.. and those huge motherships too... would be fun in a movie though :P https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgJRhtnqA-67pKmQ3A2GsgA ED youtube channel https://www.facebook.com/glowingamraam My facebook page
Alfa Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 I agree with LP - no need for the nazi-attitude :) . I agree with Pilotasso, this plugin is only good for replacing old models......If you guys have done any modding for Lock-on, you would see the potential for top-notch game additions this plug-in provides for. You have your opinions on what you consider worth while and important, but please don't try to impose it on others. Besides, as far as adding new units goes - this still has to go through ED, but with the plug-in, third party 3D artists can do a lot more work on their own to prepare the model before sending it to ED....and I believe be in a better position to make whatever required adjustments to the model that ED may require. - JJ. knellknell Posted September 9, 2006 Author Posted September 9, 2006 Thank's Alfa. BTW, any news about animations problem ? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
