1.5.4 Crash / F-86 issue

So the version 1.5.4 has been released today.

I have seen the new fancy new design options panels,

but the responsiveness of those, and of DCS in general is

much worse than 1.5.3. Moreover, in a couple of hours I have had 3 CTD's

this never happened in 1.5.3 or anteriors.

Often, when finishing a mission and trying to close I get a completely black screen

and no other optio than activating the Task Manager and end

the task DCS.

Please advise.:(

4 x Corsair RAM DDR3 8.0 GB @ 1866 Mhz. 32 GB total

Graphics Card GeForce GTX 1070 8192 MB GDDR5 - Latest Nvidia Drivers installed.

And even more problems with 1.5.4.

 

The F-86 Sabre does not work any more!

I tied to deactivate it, uninstall it, reinstall it to no avail.

It does not appear yellow in the Mission editor!

Missions won't start. Helppppppppppppppppppppp!:cry:

Hi, thanks for the replies,logs included with this message.

 

Yes, I have one mod installed, the Caucasus textures from Starway,

activated with JSGME Mod enabler.

 

And I had also the B-17 and the HE-111 from Markindel,

I have deleted those to no avail.

 

Incredible toot that the F-86 does not work any more.

a mod or a user edit is the problem.

 

try deleting missioneditor folder and restarting dcs

 

C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\DCS\MissionEditor

you may need to delete DCS World\MissionEditor and run a repair also

Hi BIGNEWY, you are right, I forgot, there is another mod,

DCS Aircraft Skin and Payload Preview in Mission Editor v2.1

by uboats.

Now I have deleted the missioneditor folder and restarted dcs

but it won't start. How do I perform a repair?

Hi you can repair by going to your windows start menu>programmes>eagle dynamics>DCSWorld>repair

Hey Hayden, I also had the DAWS weather mod installed (which rocks) and the ME would not start. Simply deactivate the weather mod and it will start up just fine

and yes it should show the 3d model, but I am not sure if the mod you are using is compatible with it, or the skin is installed correctly.

 

before updating always remove user mods.

on a side note your machine is a little under the minimum requirements for DCS.

Until yesterday my machine (2010) moved DCSW among 20-50 fps.

I am surprised you have been using DCSWorld up to now, your graphics card only supports up to DirectX 10.1 and dcs requires a dx11 card.

As I said, my pc is not that bad...
