LeCuvier Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 The "Missions" page lists all airplanes that I have installed and allows me to select missions for any of the aircraft. Well, any except the F-5E. In order to run a F-5E mission I have to open the folder structure for any other aircraft and then navigate through the folder structure until I get to the F-5E "Missions" folder. That's awful. I have not found out how to fix this in the interim. I expect something's missing in one of the .lua scripts. Can somebody tell me where to fix this? PS: I have not found any thread with this issue. Am I the only one having it? Go to Mods/aircraft/F-5E/missions/ then create a folder called Single War is easy and is just like riding a bike. LeCuvier Posted July 24, 2016 Author Posted July 24, 2016 F-5E does have mission, but... It doesn't come with any missions so they didn't create a mission folder. Go to Mods/aircraft/F-5E/missions/ then create a folder called Single With all due respect Sir: The F-5E does have missions under QuickStart and Training! Only the entry is missing somwhere that would list it on the "Missions" page. Kartoffel Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 Yes that is true but they aren't detalied missions like what you can find in the single folder. Does it work? War is easy and is just like riding a bike. Except the bike is on fire and the ground is on fire and you are on fire and you realise you are in hell :joystick:
Steel Jaw Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 Still in beta is it not? "You see, IronHand is my thing" My specs: W10 Pro, I5/11600K o/c to 4800 @1.32v, 64 GB 3200 XML RAM, Red Dragon 7800XT/16GB, monitor: GIGABYTE M32QC 32" (31.5" Viewable) QHD 2560 x 1440 (2K) 165Hz.
feefifofum Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 Generally the things you'll find in "missions" and "campaigns" are a little more detailed than the quick start/instant action missions which are often geared more towards air starts/short engagement you begin just outside of. I'm sure more content will be added as the team has time; we're still only a couple days in the early access release. :) THE GEORGIAN WAR - OFFICIAL F-15C DLC
LeCuvier Posted July 24, 2016 Author Posted July 24, 2016 Yes these are short and simple missions; and yes the F-5E module is in Early Access mode. These short missions however do allow me to get a feel for the aircraft and start learning how it's weapon system work. I do not expect more in Early Access or Beta state. But I want to be able to get to these missions without selecting another aircraft and then having to go through the entire folder structure. I'm not complaining either. All I'm solliciting is input from somebody who knows how to add the F-5E to the mission page. I'm sure it's not hard-coded in a DLL but hidden in a .lua file that I could modify if I knew which file and what the missing line contains. spiddx Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 (edited) I think someone already told you. Go to Mods/aircraft/F-5E/missions/ then create a folder called Single I don't have the module yet, but can't you access the Quickstart and Training missions via the respective Training or Instant Action tab in the main menu? ED Team cofcorpse Posted July 24, 2016 ED Team Posted July 24, 2016 Thanks for reports! This is fixed in internal version. For temporary workaround add folder Single in Mods/aircraft/F-5E/missions/ (Thanks to Kartoffel)
LeCuvier Posted July 25, 2016 Author Posted July 25, 2016 Yes thanks it works. I had been focussed on the statement "It doesn't come with any missions so they didn't create a mission folder" and overlooked the rest. For consistency with other modules I created a folder "EN" under "Missions" to which I moved the existing folders "QickStart" and "Training". Under "EN" I created "Single" and copied a mission into that. The F-5E is now visible in the Missions page. Apologies to Kartoffel for not having read the second part of his post. Also, shameless self-advertising :music_whistling: , but I made a mission you can put in that folder and play!
