Hello,

I am thinking of making the switch to VR in the near future (hopefully a couple of months). I spend the majority of my DCS time in the MiG-21Bis (with the rest spread across the Mirage, Mi-8, and WWII fighters).

Are there any issues running the MiG in VR (save for the lack of a pilot figure in the cockpit)?

I am mostly wondering about unique performance issues or something similar.

Thank you for the info!

I can tell you as a dk2 user and current 3D user on a 55 inch screen the mig 21 pit is the most impressive! Yes not having a pilot body is a bummer but you soon forget it. Trust me the pit is amazing in 3D and vr.

I do believe the performance hit is bigger than other pits but it's well worth it for that detail.

The MiG-21 is one of my favourite pits with my Rift. I do wish that there was a pilot body as it feels odd without one (as do the other planes), but you certainly won't be disappointed. I've had no related performance issues, and the only 'issue' if you can call it that is that the sides of the aircraft (outside) have a missing texture placeholder, but this can't be seen from a normal seating position, I only noticed it as I was getting up when I still had my rift on.

Only issue is poor FPS in the Mig. I hope you have some beefy hardware else it will make you a little nauseous.

All other planes are fine for me.

Same with me, all other modules are fine with VR. I've made some tests and looks like its not because of GPU. The plane is CPU hungry. LN definitely needs to look into this issue and optimize CPU load.
