I'm pretty new to the DCS World and my canopy keeps flying off at different times and in different planes.

It happens regularly in the SU-27 and F-15C. Sometimes it happens right at the beginning when you "take control" during training. I will hit spacebar then race to hit CTRL+C before losing it altogether. Sometimes it will happen as I'm just flying around. How do I fix this? It's really annoying.

hi and welcome to the forum

can you provide a short track showing this issue, I am not seeing it personally.

you can save a track after you exit a mission and it will be saved in your C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\DCS\Tracks folder. You can attach it to your next post using the advanced reply option

Happened also to me in multiplayer in the f-15. After taking off 10-20seconds in the air the plane will turn off all electrical, open the canopy.

Sounds like a ghost press to me, I half expected to see an X55 or X56 in your profile.... if it happens often maybe you could keep a key press tracker open and see if your Warthog is doing things it shouldn't be?

very strange.

next time someone has this happen attach your whole logs folder straight after.

We will see if we can find any clues in them

Okay tried to grab it but I don't have the path in your signature. I downloaded the game from Steam and even searched the DCSWorld folder for logs to no avail. Do you know where these are stored in the Steam variant?

Not sure if this is helpful but:

- Build = 1.5.4

Path (works every time):

- Open DCS World in Non-VR Mode

- Click Training

- Select Cliffs3 --> Landing (Easy)

- Click "Fly"

Following this path will generally open the cockpit on load (as soon as the guy starts talking). Additionally, it will sometimes open when you start flying (hit spacebar to begin). Additionally, it will just happen randomly when flying around.

If you can confirm the path to the longs and/or short path, I can post those as well.
