Leroy24 Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 In the mission editor, current mouse position will give you a LAT/LONG associated with its position at the bottom left of the mission editor. It does not however give you an associated grid position aka LD 9302 4302. How can we get this simple function added so CAS missions and 9 lines can be more easily constructed as in the real world we prioritize grid over LAT/LONG. Thanks. Leroy
MasterZelgadis Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Not sure, but you can switch the coordinate format in the options menu. "Sieh nur, wie majestätisch du durch die Luft segelst. Wie ein Adler. Ein fetter Adler." http://www.space-view.net
feefifofum Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Under misc options I believe you'll find a drop down menu for "map coordinates display" or something like this which will allow you to select lat/long degrees or decimal, or MGRS. THE GEORGIAN WAR - OFFICIAL F-15C DLC
NeilWillis Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 That is indeed the case. You can also select from 2 different L/L formats.
Rakuzard Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 You can switch through all available formats on the fly with... well on my German keyboard it's [LAlt+Z], so it should be [LAlt+Y] on an English keyboard layout. After you pressed this combination you have to move the mouse at least one pixel to see the coordinate format change! This also works for the F10 map! - Deutsche Tutorials und DCS Gameplay: youtube.com/Rakuzard | raku.yt/discord -

Leroy Yes, but unfortunately there is no option to select the format required for the JSOW/JDAM PP mode (DD MM SS.SS). The option "Precise Lat/Long" only provides DD MM SS. =Mac= Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 Yes, but unfortunately there is no option to select the format required for the JSOW/JDAM PP mode (DD MM SS.SS). The option "Precise Lat/Long" only provides DD MM SS. It's on your DDI page. I'm not in my aircraft at the moment and I don't have it memorized. But it's in there somewhere. If you are KEYing in Lat/Lon, then you key in the DD MM SS (enter) then two more digits for the decimal seconds, then (enter). The Hornet is best at killing things on the ground. Now, if we could just get a GAU-8 in the nose next to the AN/APG-65, a titanium tub around the pilot, and a couple of J-58 engines in the tail...
