DarkAngel11 Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 So a couple of days ago I decided to get back into playing some DCS again. Last time I played 2.0 had just came out and I updated to the new 1.5. Anyways I went to get back into playing again the other day and had to update 1.5 to the newer version which I expected. However, after the update everything works except for when I go to fire Mavericks on the A-10C or fire the GAU-8 it crashes everytime. I have updated my graphics card, tried repairing DCS, and yes my computer has the requirements to run DCS. Also I've tried restoring my computer to previous time and it didn't work, also have uninstalled DCS and reinstalled it and still the same problem. This has been an extreme pain and just want to get back into playing it again. Also I am somewhat computer literate so any feed back please be patient with me on and help explain to me. I know pretty much how to locate most stuff but not ideally on what things do and how I can fix other things. :furious::hmm:

DarkAngel11 Posted August 20, 2016 Author Posted August 20, 2016 Ok will do. Still very early here haha. Back to what you were saying, I've never had a problem running DCS at all. Even now everything runs smooth and I can launch some weapons but every time the cannon and AGM Missiles the game crashes. Other than that it runs smooth.

DarkAngel11 Posted August 21, 2016 Author Posted August 21, 2016 I don't understand. Before the 1.5 newest update everything ran perfectly fine. Everything so does now. I'm not saying you're completely wrong but everything still works fine except for firing mavericks and firing my cannon. Fans runs smooth no problems in that regard. I've seen multiple people with the same problem so I believe there got to be a different solution because the game running is fine. No lag or anything.
SkateZilla Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 (edited) Running out of Shared System/Video Memory can cause crashes with the DirectX 11 and GPU Driver.. This is a Common Crash when Users are using Embedded Intel HD GPU's and System Configurations Below the Minimum Specifications. Simply Put, the effects are more than the Embedded GPU and Shared memory can Handle. You are below Specs.. You're Running w/ 6GB Total Ram, which is already below Minimum Specs, And HALF of that Ram is shared w/ the GPU. ED Team BIGNEWY Posted August 21, 2016 ED Team Posted August 21, 2016 My question is why did everything work perfectly fine before? luck? :) Sorry I do not know, as we progress to the 2.5 build new shaders are being added things are being tweaked to use more of the GPU so you may be seeing the results of that progression.
