If you are referring to the Founders Edition your statement holds true. But the vendors have released overclocked versions of the card. So far, Asus and MSI have the fastest cards with Asus ROG STRIX-GTX1080-O8G-GAMING having a small edge on the MSI card. TL;DR ALL 1080s, ALL SKUs, reach on average of 2050MHz, some don't reach 2000, some reach 21xx. dburne Posted August 10, 2016 Share Posted August 10, 2016 Very happy with my EVGA GTX 1080 FTW, but like Haldwell mentioned mine probably averages around 2050-2075 mhz. It will boost initially to just over 2.1 ghz but then settles in slightly less. I do very much like the ACX 3 fan design, very quiet.
