Since Belsimtek came out with the F-5E I have been flying it constantly both on and offline. Its a work of art, my favorite of all the DCS aircraft thus far, and I cannot say enough positive things about how enjoyable this aircraft is to fly. As such, I realized that it might be fun to get other F-5 drivers all together for an afternoon/evening, meet each other, and get some similar ACM and ground attack work in. If you've got a few minutes, take a look at the mission's description and cover art below and if you are interested in flying this Saturday please post that you'll be attending so I know how many slots to make the mission and server for: I have 12 spots currently built into the mission but that can be easily expanded. ***** F-5E TIGER II CAPTURE THE FLAG *****

 

ADULT SETTINGS: NO EXTERNAL VIEWS, INTEGRITY CHECK ON, IMPOSTERS WILL BE SET TO SMALL, ONLY YOUR AIRCRAFT WILL BE VISIBLE IN F10.

 

EACH TEAM HAS A FLAG (DOG EAR RADAR) ACTIVATED ON ITS SIDE UPON MISSION START. RED TEAM OWNS THE AIRSPACE ABOVE THE 88 N/S GRID LINE AND BLUE TEAM THE AIRSPACE BELOW IT; BULLSEYE MARKS THE CENTER OF THE ARENA. THE FLAGS ARE PLACED RANDOMLY AND ARE NOT PLACED OUTSIDE OF THE ARENA DEPICTED ON SLIDE TWO. IF YOUR AIRCRAFT FLIES WITHIN FIVE MILES OF THE OTHER SIDE'S FLAG ITS RADAR WILL ACTIVATE THUS HELPING YOU FIND THE FLAG. HOWEVER, LEAVING THAT FIVE MILE RADIUS WILL CAUSE THE ENEMY FLAG'S RADAR TO TURN OFF. EACH SIDE IS LIMITED TO 20 AIR-FRAMES AND HAS THREE HOURS TO FIND AND DESTROY THREE OF THE ENEMY'S FLAGS. AIM-9P5 MISSILES ARE LIMITED TO 10 PER SIDE. AIM-9P MISSILES ARE LIMITED TO 100 PER SIDE. BOTH AIRFIELDS HAVE BASIC SURFACE TO AIR DEFENSIVE COVERAGE! OBEY ALL RULES ON SLIDE THREE AND GOOD LUCK!!!

Mild changes made to the brief today. Mission will run for three hours then reset if there is a winner or if time expires. Integrity check will be on so turn your mods off. I haven't decided to keep imposters on small or off yet: currently testing.

Thx, I'm relying heavily on the "if you build it... they will come" strategy and word of mouth. We get 6-8 people in on this and it'll be the most fun any of us have had with our clothes on.

I'll have it posted on the mission server tomorrow. Just look for "Azazel's Server" in multiplayer for 2.0 and the connection info will be there for the Teamspeak address.

Only multiplayer flying I have ever done is with Eve Valkyrie on the Rift, and that's cool so looking to get in to it more with sims I fly, being DCS and Rise of Flight.

Anyone who missed this needs to try it out next time it's up. I think Azazel is going to have it up more this weekend. It is tons of fun. The game is simple, but the tactics complex. The map setup and round time are perfect, and it's a thrill playing cat and mouse while you try to find the flags.
