After hearing it emphasized repeatedly you only needed one module for the Relic campaign I bought the saber. I cant buy the DLC in game, it says I need another module. This really upsets me. The f86 has next to nothing in game for SP and my comp cant handle the MP. I really would like an explanation, or something. I was going to purchase the gazelle and already had bought the F5- Im a long time customer but Im not made of money and this really left me with a bitter taste. I really hope Eagle can be reasonable and if not give me a refund let me trade in the F86 I never even open and bought today for say a gazelle if I cant use the DLC. Im going to risk purchasing the DLC off the website. If It doesntwork Its my loss. But I hope Eagle at least is professional about this and understands my predicament it doesnt say anywhere that I recall you need both modules.

Even as good faith i bought the gazelle. I wanted it. Im not a rich man though. Id please ask eagle dynamics not evem for a rfund of my.money but to disable my f86 module and just put it in bonus points that way they still get me to buy a product for sure and that way i get a product i can actually play?

Yes now i feel quite the fool as i see it in bold on the campaign thing. However my mind was focussed on when it was released and people at the time emphasizing you only needed one of the modules. I screwed up but it doesnt seem fair - i just want a product i can play sp ill pay for the campaign or even double i just dont feel like buying a mig 15 to play a 10 dollar campaign?

Here is what the campaign creator had to say about the issue:

Hello everyone,

First of all, my apologies for a late response, I've been busy with real world work all day.

Secondly, I was able to get a hold of Wags, and unfortunately my fears about compatibility are true. As of right now, you must own both the MiG-15 and F-86 modules in order to play this campaign. I want to reassure everyone that this is, in no way, a ploy by ED to force a purchase of an aircraft you may not want. Rather, this is a miscommunication during our initial conversations months ago, and I'll take the blame for that.

The way modules, keys, and all that "behinds the scenes stuff" works,, is that since this is a campaign for two platforms, you do need both. Imagine there's a FC3 campaign, and you want to fly it, but you only own 1 of the 6 aircraft. It wouldn't work because you would need the other 5 aircraft as well. That's the best analogy I can come up with right now.

Rest assured that I am working with Matt, and ED, to figure out a way that I can get this campaign to those of you with only 1 of the 2 aircraft. This was my initial intention, and I will work to make it reality.

Again, I sincerely apologize for the current confusion, and hope to soon see it remedied. Thank you all, for your understanding.

As I understand the rules, I have paid for the Mig-15 and do not fly it. Pretty much purchased it to support ED. If I understand correctly, I can transfer that license to you if I remove that module from my computer, which I am willing to do if that will help you out with the campaign you purchased. Let me know and I will proceed to take the necessary steps to do the transfer.

He hasn't purchased the campaign, because unless DCS World detects you have both, it won't let you buy it.

His issue was the presumption by a number of us that you'd only need to own the module you wish to fly in a campaign, even if it does feature 2 possible modules as the focus.

I am utterly amazed that the decision was made to insist you need both, even if you intend only to fly one of them. It still beggars belief that this decision was taken, especially as the developer has no link to Belsimtek, and therefore, no reason to promote the sale of the modules concerned.

As stated, he is already trying to address the issue, so until such time as the solution is found, the obvious answer to the OPs query is to just hold on until more news is released on the matter. It IS being looked into, so the complaint is pretty redundant right now.

But the assumption made originally by a number of us was incorrect, and we have already apologized for the misinformation. However, he isn't out of pocket, and a solution is being investigated, as already said.

Well i technically am out of pocket. The moneys gone and my comp cant handle MP. The Mustang barely gets used and I have high stakes. If my comp would run it or it.d allow me Id buy thw campaign thats how I originally found out it wouldnt work - it simply wouldnt let me buy it.

To the person who offered the mig yes sure what would you like? If you want to trade I bought BS2 and never play it Id gladly trade you its got 9 activations left as Im sure your mig does.

I appreciate the idea of buying stuff to support ED but I really am not wealthy at all. These were the first planes bought in over 6 mnths because of that. Nevertheless I bought the F5 knowing it has basically nothing except learning to fly because its a good job and the whole "support ed idea". I just think its a shame i bought 3 aircraft and I got one campaign out of 150 bucks. Seriously. I originally did this specifically to get the museum relic campaign regarding the F86.

If i was a wealthy man and not a loyal fan struggling with a kid do you think id be whining about this? Whatever ill suck it up but it sucks when basically you treat yourself once a tax period and this happens. But i guess in this caze the bold print got me. Of course ididnt read that because i thought all the looking into had been done when it was released amd i read over and over you only needed ONE module to play at least ONE side. I mean whats next you can only play scenarios and campaigns where you own all units involved?
